Thank you Paul for all that you have done for your alma mater. I'm sure that we will mourn your departure, but we will also celebrate all of your accomplishments.
Go get 'em Paul!

s**t.
Oh well -- good luck Paul and thanks for everything you've done here.
Is anybody else slightly confused that he pulled his name out of the OSU job but jumped at this one? Must have been other things going on behind the scenes there.

When a coach or AD pulls his name out, it's 90% of the time because they know they're not going to get the job.

You guys have said it already... Sad news for Falcon faithful, but best of luck to Mr. Krebs.
Hopefully we can find another one like him to keep BG moving forward.

I wish him well. This is bad news for us.

Paul Krebs has done an outstanding job at BGSU. The coaches he has hired and the progress of our programs and facilities speak for themselves. He will be missed, but I'm sure we will bring in someone to pick up right where he left off. Best wishes to Paul!!

congratulations to the krebs family. i'm forever enebted to paul for loaning me a pair of his gloves on a particularly cold day.
so he'll miss the women's basketball selection? that's kind of crummy.

Congratulations to Paul Krebs. I'm proud he was a Falcon, and he did a great job while he was here. He has the gratitude of all Falcon fans, and will be tough to replace.

Congrats to Paul and family!
I love this quote on the page from Dr. Whipple:
The President (Dr. Sidney A. Ribeau) and I will be meeting in the next couple of days to determine our next course of action."
I can picture the meeting now:
Whipple: Hey, President Ribeau, Paul took the job in New Mexico.
Ribeau: Oh? Our next course of action should probably be to find a new AD.
Whipple: Ok.

He may have realized the mess he was in with Clarett scandals and the Buckeye basketball program boosters.

I wish him luck, but I'd be lying if I said it doesn't sting to have one of our own (BG guy) leave BGSU for the same position at another comparable school.

UNM is not a comparable school. Make all of the size/conference affiliation comparisons you want, there simply is no substitute for being the flagship institution in a Western state. Paul's decision, I think, is understandable.

With loss, come opportunity. Hopefully we'll hire a go-getter that will outperform Krebs.

Congratulations to Mr. Krebs and thanks for all he has done for us at BG. It was appreciated.
But I must say that this comment was a little disappointing: "I come from the MAC, so the Mountain West looks like a BCS conference to us."
