Free Tickets for Wisconsin Game

Just opened a mailer from the ticket office today and for every season ticket renewed by April 15th you get a free upper level ticket to the Wisconsin game in Cleveland. I guess this means that the speculation that only the lower level will be sold is not correct.

Also, the mailer indicates that we only have four home games (not including the Wisconsin game). I assume this means that we lost a home game by pushing back the Boise State game??? Nice

Down to 4....what a load of bs...is it just me or does the BG home schedule always seem to be less than appealing from a home fan perspective in terms of how it ends up being laid out??

Perhaps the bad schedules that BG has had date wise have contributed to poor crowds?? For sure it has had some effect, but how much?

Any chance they wanted to get these printed and mailed and didn't have a definitive yes or no on the Boise replacement? If you've got four, plus Wisky for five, and a mystery game, that would be a six home, six away setup. I'd be curious to see a verbatim from the mailing that was sent out before becoming *too* convinced that we got hosed again on the schedule.

First off, I love the ticket idea for the BG/UW game. But second, if we only get four home games because we backed out of the Boise State game to help Ohio U with their schedule (which is now rumored to be a game at Illinois), I too will be pissed. The last we heard about this was that BG would get a home game against a I-A opponent in replacement of the Boise State game. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

So I'll ask the question ... would you rather have:

A) A home game against a D-IAA opponent to replace Boise State
B) An away game against a D-IA opponent to replace Boise State

8)

Wouldn't they have to know the actual number of home games before they could even price season tickets?

If the MAC is "successful" in striking a deal with ESPN to move all November games to Wednesday (or some other weekday), we have a great chance of having only two Saturday home games at the Doyt. That is an extremely dissapointing proposition as tailgaiting was finally taking hold. I understand it is still possible during the week, but it presents more challenges and the crowds will be smaller unless it is a premier matchup.

Exactly...the price structure for season tickets is based on four games ($59) dollars for bench reserve. Therefore, if they add another home game would I have to pay more??? I would imagine so. I cannot see them sending out renewal forms if they don't know the entire home schedule!

1987alum, I would still rather play a I-A on the road and travel, than watch a I-AA at the Doyt, but I like to travel. We'll see.

My four will be free anyway...Dad Freak is picking up the tab on those for my Christmas present. :smt023

And I don't have the $$$ right now anyway...palm trees and sunshine of Florida are a callin'.

GREAT DEAL

Looks like the marketing department came up with a great idea. Reduced seasons tickets for recent Graduates. Only 39$ for a season ticket (can purchase up to two). Less than 10$ a game. Hopefully recent grads will take advantage. I'm assuming anyone graduating in the last 5 years is a recent graduate :D

Unfortunatly it does say that there are 4 home games :(

Not trying to be negative, but I find that very disappointing.

Like others have said, however, I'd rather have a road game against a 1A school than a home game against a 1AA school. I still think it sucks that we moved the BSU game back though...

Geez, to say the least.
