Now, if only the QB's in the NFL were required to run a lot....(guess I forgot about the Browns old off. line).....these would have more merit.

Yeah, the running QB in the NFL just doesn't really seem to be that great of a skill. If I was a GM I'd be more interested on how the QB can throw on the run and how good his footwork was.

Everyone thought Vick would be the next coming of Christ and thus far all he's been able to do is sell tickets and merchandise. I'm not sure he has "it" to win the big one.

Don't forget he was the first QB to lead his team to a playoff victory at Lambeau.

He has an amazing winning % when compared to Atlanta without him.

He led his team to an NFC title game 2 years ago.


Other than that and the selling merchandise stuff you're right. His stats are mediocre to bad. Of course NFL Defensive coordinators would rather play any QB in the league than him, but what do they know?

Mike Vick is not a good statistical QB. He's mediocre at best at pure passing. With those things said he's still a great winner and leader of his team. The real question for Vick will be whether or not he can sustain it for more than another couple years before he gets himself killed.

I wiould rather play Vick at his best then P. Manning at his worse.

Vince Young only got those speeds by shifting the blood going to his brain. Sadly, he couldn't reverse the process for the Wonderlick.

Omar also had the third highest Wonderlic score (38) behind Bruce Eugene of Grambling (41) and Darrell Hackney from UAB (40)...Marques Hagans from UVA had a 37. Gradkowski got a 19, Betts from Miami had 33, Smith from Central Michigan had 16, and marcus vick, that idiot, got a 11, lowest score. Vince Young finished just ahead of him with a 15. sorry if this has been discussed before

and also, as a sidenote, Omar Jacobs had a high Wonderlic score by 7 points than the two vick brothers combined.

Absolutely, won't deny it. I'm not gonna say that he's getting the most out of his talent, he clearly isn't. Still the guy wins and is scary as hell to scheme against. He may be a mediocre passer, but combine that with his threat on the ground and he's good enough to make his team better.
