I believe Jim Elsasser was the Asst. AD in charge of Football operations prior...does this open the door for Jim to become AD?

I think it brings the position under the control of the football coach and not the AD. Is the football program setting itself apart a bit from the rest of the athletic department?

I believe this is actually replacing Billy Crutcher on the staff. I believe Scott Seeliger took over as the administrator with football responsibility some time ago and this would have no effect on either as candidates.

Billy Crutcher was on film duties...most of the important resposibilities(scheduling, recruiting, budget, camps, etc.) were done by Elsasser, Mike Ward and Zach Azzanni.

I believe Scott Seeliger is responible for fund raising and has no role in the daily operations of the football team.

You have that pretty correct. Many of the duties listed were taken care of by a variety of people in different departments. (banquets, golf outings-travel- to name a few) I can see where a program that big would want to have their own person responsible for the "details" of the program.

And Scott Seeliger is the liason for football. Or why is he always there with the team when they travel and not Jim E?

I didn't know Billy Crutcher or what he did, but it seems that it is a replacement with additional duties brought under the umbrella.
