Man, all these road games to start the season off really sucks. I know the games balance out in the end, but 4 of the first 5 on the road, including the first 2 MAC games, I don't like it. EMU has already played four home games and BG won't have a second home game until the middle of October.
I know it's nice having a lot of home game down the stretch, but I'd like it more if we were 1-0 and not 0-1 in the MAC. I also think it's nice, especially since being a Northern school, to have some home games earlier in the season for the fans.
On the road.......AGAIN!

Last spring, at a Cleve. alum. function, I was asked by several people what I thought BG's record might be this year....My response.."Either 8-3 or possibly 7-4"... The looks on their faces reflected their shock, but my point was that this is perhaps the worst schedule I can remember... Start at OU is OK, but 4 of 1st 5 games on road, including NIU? And having to play at Toledo the last game of season?
This is not a recipe for success....I obviously hope that I'm proved wrong, but it means we have to go unbeaten the rest of the way to beat my "best case" scenerio. That said, I'm looking forward to the 16th...haven't missed too many Homecomings in my life, but we now need to play ALL games "1 at a time".

Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
