Final Schedule..

Post by bgbrandon »

Does anybody know when the complete schedule will be announced? Does it always take the MAC a little longer than other conferences?

MAC schedules take longer for three reasons...

1) MAC schools are dropped or drop opponents more often then any other conference.

2) MAC schools don't fully schedule all of their OOC games until the last moment.

3) Temple

You add all of this up, and the fact that teams are still looking for OOC games as of March 31, the MAC has to wait until all of the OOC games are set.

Things you can guarantee...

BG vs. UT last game of the season
OU vs. Miami last game of the season

Is the ANY chance our remaining OOC game will be a high profile team?? I sure hope we have an early home OOC game.

I called the ticket office yesterday on another matter, and they told me there will not be any additional home games added.

Does anybody remember a ballpark range of when it was announced last year? Was it before the spring game atleast?

So 8 of 12 games away from the Doyt. I wonder if our administration considered how an excessive number of road games can wear down a team late in the season. We'll have Akron, Miami, and Toledo waiting for us in November.

If we agreed to this in order to do the MAC a favor, maybe they can spot us 10 points in each of those games to make things even.

Hopefully they did consider it and realized we probably wont be very good this year and maybe we can get home games when we are good.

Maybe. But I don't think we need to be that great of a team in order to compete in the MAC East and/or possibly grab one of those 3/4 available bowl bids this year.

Four Home Games And Eight Road Games ...

Post by BGSU99 »

Are ya kiddin' me?!? San Diego Falcon, I like your idea ... give us ten on those road games ... ok, other than Temple. We won't need a ten-spot in that one.

one must wonder if construction is playing a roll in the lack of home games.

Not at all. We have our usual compliment of five home games this year (it's just that only four of them are played on-campus).
