Please UCF, just one win.......

.......winless UCF plays NIU this weekend. If UCF can only win one game this year, I want it to be this one, though I don't think it's going to happen. FYI, NIU's Josh Haldi returned and looked pretty good.

Speaking of Haldi...
While in NIU, we stopped to pick up some beverages before the game and I had the chance to chat with some NIU fans. We discussed what players were good on our respective teams and I asked if Haldi was going to be playing that day. About 20 NIU fans that were not together all turned and said no, we don't want him playing. That made it seem like they are better off without him from a fans perspective. So maybe he really does suck, and having him play against UCF could be a benefit!!!

UCF might be the worst team in division 1-a. How in the world can you get killed by Buffao? Couldn't happen to a nicer team

Kdogg,
I could think of a "nicer team" ... how about UT? But admittedly, we all have to laugh at least a little at MIGHTY UCF! Wasn't this the team who came into the MAC with the announced STATEMENT, (NOT GOAL) of winning the MAC and going to a bowl...and inferring that we were a mere steppingstone for them to greater things... (like the Big E.-bottom feeder)

As much as I enjoyed that score, NW 33, osu 27 was even better

Is Buffalo still in the MAC? Just kidding. Dislike all Florida teams.

I'm really conflicted with this thread. I have never once routed for UCF and don't think I can even now. I know we need NIU to lose twice, but I just respect their team to much to wish them to lose to UCF. Maybe they can lose to someone else on their schedule. UCF just makes me sick

. Boy, ConUSA really stole a good one there.
Oh, and I'm a chick now! Yippie!!!

Well, I'll post again on this thread to share a write up fron The Grand Rapid Press on UCF:
Central Florida joined the Mid-American Conference amid high expectations -- and a discernible arrogance -- as a pit stop en route to a bigger conference. UCF will do just that when it becomes a member of Conference USA.
But the MAC experience has fallen well short of UCF's Marshall-like expectations, and hit a new low Saturday when the Golden Knights were routed 44-16 by Buffalo, with a backup quarterback burning them for nearly 200 passing yards on just five completions.
Buffalo, a sixth-year MAC member, has won just five conference games during that period, and those teams it defeated enjoyed little success: Ohio (2-10) in 2003; Ohio (1-10) in 2001; Kent (1-10) in 2000; and Bowling Green (2-9) in 2000.
George O'Leary, the disgraced former Georgia Tech coach who didn't last long enough at Notre Dame to get his nameplate mounted in his office, was hired as UCF's head coach this season to ease the transition into C-USA.
Instead, the Golden Knights are 0-4, and now firmly established as not only a non-contender in the MAC, but the league's worst team.

O no they di'int!?! CUSA is NOT i repeat NOT a superior conf. Not even this year with a drastically weakened and underachieving MAC roster. TCU, americas baby last year is squeaking by some crap teams and showing again they arent as good as advertized. Louisville is solid, but lets not give credit where its not due....o and one more thing, go Buffalo!

Boy, this IS a tough one. In the end, though, I'd take an NIU loss to anyone, so I'll be pulling for UCF. The Golden Nightlights are getting what they deserve and I suspect more of the same is waiting for them in Convict USA.
