Ok so whats the story with Omar?
Today while buying a gun and and some other hunting and fishing supplies at Dicks I thumb threw a copy of Football weekly on the Draft. the author gives Omar some props for his arm strenght, then blasts our system and says Omar D1 record is a farce basicly becasue they were all short high percentage passes blagh blagh...then this dick says Omar is full of himself a potential troublemaker/problem player becasue he does not crt, well and does not listen to advice and thiks he is better than he realy is, and he is to thne and not mobile enoguh to play int he NFl.
i am realy wondering what Omar said to this guy to piss him off...i am willing to bet this cat is a BCS fan and never played a down of Football in his life and is rating others. What prick I ll never buy that mag again.

I've never met Omar but from what I'm told he's pretty humble and soft-spoken.

Yeah, what BG Drew said!!
He always took time to say a few words to the kids and was receptive to pics with them, whether it be shortly after a game or when he was with his own family/friends at Frickers later on.
He won't be a first rounder, but could be the hidden gem of the late 2nd, or 3rd round.
I mean come on, Cleveland is all "a twitter" with Frye...and he needed a last second miracle to beat Marshall while Omar took a knee so as to not further run it up against them!

Yeah I can say Curt Warner. The old Penn State RB who played several years for the Seahawks and rushed for a bunch of yards. But I don't know nothing about a girlfriend or wife.Falcons4Life wrote:Can you say Curt Warner???All the times I talked to him last year he seemed like a pretty shy fellow. If nothing else his girlfriend does a lot of talking the talk so he can concentrate on walking the walk.
Oh, wait a minute you mean KKKKurt Warner.

I agree with this Omar has always been very nice around me and Corey has given me nothing that would indicate anything this writer mentioned in the article is true. So this guy is just blowing smoke hoping to get some attention.svillefalcon wrote:MACMAN wrote:...then this dick says Omar is full of himself a potential troublemaker/problem player becasue he does not crt, well and does not listen to advice and thiks he is better than he realy is, and he is to thne and not mobile enoguh to play int he NFl.

But that is not it, its not an article in the MAG it is his review of Omar in QB section of the Draft Prospects. it is in my mind another example of why we need a law that focuses on an accountability in journalism, the press crossed the line as far as bias and blatant misrepresentation a long time ago. Its just disgusting taht these people can write what ever they want with out an real reprocussion.
A review of draft prospects is an article in a different format. Prospects go through so much poking and prodding and evaluation by the folks that'll be making the picks, that I doubt one man's sour experience is going to affect much. If it's more than one man's opinion, then maybe there's something going on that we never saw at BG.MACMAN wrote:But that is not it, its not an article in the MAG it is his review of Omar in QB section of the Draft Prospects.

I think the problem is that a lot of people associate his quiet demeanor as being smug or JDGAF (just don't give a ....).
