In a Blade article today, it states that BG has hired a firm to conduct a national search for its new AD. There are several interesting points in the article, but something that especially caught my eye was this:

"Now the focus will be on fundraising and facilities expansion".

I'm thinking we are entering a new era in Falcon sports. So, buckle up!! Let's enjoy the ride!!.

Here's a link to the article.

"Feasibility studies are being conducted on whether to improve Anderson Arena or build a convention center"

will this proposed convention center be able to host basketball games?
;)

GO BG!!

Well, I suppose it would have to be. We have new basketball and hockey facilities hopefully on the horizon, as well as a football stadium that is well behind the times. Hopefully, the new AD will be strong in fundraising as we'll need a whole lot of money going forward for athletic facilities.

Good catch. There's nothing like going back to my hometown for a convention. Trotter's better expand.

Flip, your one liners are priceless. I hear Hilarities is looking for new blood.

Black Flag...one of my best friend's fave bands back in HS. Kevin loved Black Flag, the Gun Club, Hoodoo Gurus (sp?) and Husker Du. I was into Ratt, Dokken, Journey and Scorpions. Go figure. Of course, Telsa didn't hit the scene until 1986, my freshman year at BG. Something for everyone, I guess. :-D
