Student Tickets for 9-2-06 on Sale Now

Post by BGSU Crazy Fan 58 »

Well I went over to ticket office this morning around 10:30 this morning and I was pretty excited to get my tickets and hopefully be in the first row or two. So I went up to the window and they just gave me a form and had me fill out some information and my student ID number and how many tickets I wanted. As it turns out, they won't be giving out the tickets until sometime at the beginning of the fall semester. No date as been set but the guy said they will make an announcement and then on that day it is first come first serve. Whoever is at the front when the ticket office opens that day will get the prime seating they want. So no tickets in my hand and I have to wait until the end of August to get them. So I basically bought my tickets on the first day they went on sale for no reason because I'll have to go early on the date I can pick them up to get front row. So that day will be the key date for student tickets, not today. And to top it off, the t-shirts for the first 1,000 student sales will also not be given out until that date in August. I was all pumped up this morning to get the tickets in my hand and get a shirt but I guess the athletic department was not ready to give to give me that. Oh well.

Did I understand correctly that they took your money today but you only filled out an order form? Do students who fill out the order form this spring have priority over those who wait until the start of the fall semester to decide if they are going to the game?

Yeah basically I just filled out a form and they took my credit card number down and said to come back when the ticket pick up will be and that's when I'd choose my seat. The seats in the dawg pound will be reserved seats and to get in the first row or the seat you want, you will have to be lined up at the ticket office when they open on that date in august. So the first people in line will have the first choice of where to sit. In other words, there is no point in buying tickets now. Get them a week or so before the ticket pick up date, be at the front of the line that day and you'll get whatever seat you want.

I hear a lot of schools do it this way. But I think there are only so many tickets at $10. The dog pound is not that big.

I took my g/f in and got eight total tickets. Plus, my brother bought four. That is 12 tickets for our group. It will be a great trip!

Is it possible to get tickets online - myBGSU or something?

I'll be a freshman next year and will definitely be going, but I don't live in BG so I can't get some there, nor do I know if they would even let me...

Call the ticket office and ask. I believe it's (877) BGS-UTIC(KET)
