It would be extremely interesting if BGSU brought in an AD from the private sector. Have any other D-I schools done this recently?

The number one factor should be the ability to fundraise, somthing that directly correlates to facility improvement. One does not necessarily need to be a part of a BCS program to meet this criteria. Buffalo and Ohio recently hired the top fundraisers for Michigan and Oklahoma, respectively, but how difficult a job is it to fundraise in those situations?

The rest, for our particular situation:

2. The stomach to make difficult coaching decisions and the talent to select quality, ambitious replacements that can recruit and develop players. Meyer, Curt Miller and even Scott Paluch are the models.

3. Ability to aggressively and effectively market and draw more fans.

4. All the superfluous "vision" stuff.

I would like to see our new AD come from a school that has hockey. With the strong tradition here I would hate to see someone come in who couldn't spell puck much less recignize it. Anyone who comes in will know the importance of our major sports, I just want to be sure hockey is considered a major sport for that person.
