by popular demand I changed my avatar. Since its a free country I did not have to do so, therefor I gave myself the right to pad my posts with this thread as compensation for being forced to change.

note: the new avatar is me from this past weekend giving a "puppy-dog" face for others amusment. It is impossible to get mad at me now based on that photo. You just cant get mad at that picture.

1) how do I set that as my banner, or antyhign as a banner for that matter.

2) That hat is my pride and joy! I have seen no one else with it, and its so cool. Ther bill is orange top and bottom, but brown in the edges, and there is a little FALCONS thing inlayed in it, It has been at every game since J5 came to power.

Those are eyes of a killer! It's like that little animal that comes up from the basement in the movie Evolution. It looked friendly and then attacked.

Don't get me wrong, you can make your avatar whatever you wish. And if you want to support Kerry, so be it. Just didn't like seeing BG being used in an attempt to make a politcal statement.

1. If you want something to appear, as my Doyt Perry thing appears, you must do two things. First, the image must be web based (i.e. saved on some webspace somewhere, I use a page called photobucket.com) Once it is saved you find the url of the image such as http://www.photobucket.com/album/dayons ... ylohan.jpg

Then you use the html image buttons to put a [ img ] web address [ / img]
and your image will appear NOTE- don't put spaces in the brackets there. . or just use the Img button when posting. . .

You guys putting Kerry - Edwards next to the BG logo is wrong. It's actually upsetting. Please leave politics out of the football threads. The last thing I want to see when I see the logo is something that takes away from the pride I feel towards BG. You might as well replace Kerry - Edwards with blue and yellow GO - ROCKETS! It's offensive. I vote - NO MORE POLITICS IN THE FOOTBALL THREAD!

I agree. I'd hate to see this place get political.

But, keep in mind, this sort of thing has cut both ways in the past.

For instance, the only times President Reagan was ever in Bowling Green was for campaign appearances.



I'd argue that photo is the result of someone in BG thinking it was a good idea to connect President Reagan to what was then a very successful Falcon football team.

I don't think putting the Kerry Edwards logo in brown and orange and declaring oneself a Falcon fan for Kerry is offensive per se. I mean, I'm a Falcon fan who is for Kerry, and I know there are quite a few others.

But it's clear a lot of people want is to keep politics out of the AZZ football forum.

I dont plan to use that banner, I was just asking how i would go about using something like that. i agree that politics should stay out of AZZ.com atleast the sport specific areas, free-for-all is OK though. We are already bitching at each other enough about the whole thing, why add to it?
