Coming this Week

There are a couple of developments that may be coming this week.

1-The NCAA Committee that decides on Bowl Games is meeting this week. BG and MAC fans may or may not be celebrating.

Expectations are that a new BCS Bowl Game will become official for the coming season. There will be 4 BCS Bowl Games, one of which could likely involve a MAC, C-USA, etc. team followed a week later by a National Championship BCS Bowl Game.

Also, some new Bowl Games might be certified, 2 of which might involve the MAC. Potential new Bowl Games mentioned are the Albuquerque Bowl (MWC vs somebody), the Toronto Bowl (MAC vs Big East), and the Birmingham Bowl (C-USA vs Big East or MAC).

2-I believe that this week is officially the last for BG Athletic Director Krebs. It would be nice if something could be announced that would be a going away feather in his cap.

I will be happy if the NCAA says NO to all of it.
But being in the hip pocket of the BCS presidents taht is doubtfull and I am sure the BCS President are encouraging more haples bowls for the rest of us, thinking it some how makes a difference. to many bowls..
