Class act from our kids

I sent an e-mail to our coaching staff because our players really made my son's day and not just by drubbing the Owls.
After the game, the players were gathering near the BG fan section to do the countdown/AZZ thing and Ruth got the attention of Deaudre Perry. She wanted Noah to have a chance to shake hands with the player whose number he shares (24). Perry noticed the ritual was starting and said "Ummmm, hold on one minute. I'll be right back, I promise." He ran into the mass of humanity and joined the team. I figured Noah would have to live with a little disappointment.
I was wrong.
After the team was done with AZZ, Perry made a beeline back to Noah & Ruth, shaking Noah's hand. Ruth explained the thing with the number and Perry made a little small talk. Noah was awe-struck. A few moments later Nystrom and Suisham shook Noah's hand and said hello, too. We had a few moments to talk with Mom & Dad Nystrom, who could not possibly be any nicer. All in all, it was a perfect ending to a perfect day.
The Nystroms said one of the main reasons their son came to BG was the people. They were so impressed that not only did all the coaches know all the players, but they also remember the parents. "They're great people," Pop Nystrom said.
Awesome!
