Whats with all these former Mac hasbeen's having players getting drafted rather high, and before Omar is getting a sniff. Gregg Jennings is he that good for 2nd round? Dixon from Akron is really that much better than our Steve Sanders and Chuck Sharon. This has been really dissapoinging the last several drafts. Every other Mac team even lowly teams are doing better in getting their players drafted than we are. I know its not end all be all, but its odd to think we've had some pretty good players and athletes here at BG and the're not getting a sniff but Akron gets wr get taken in the top 3 rounds WMU getting wr and te taken pretty high too. Its just very dissapointing that we're not holding our own in draftable players coming from BG.

Hixon & Jennings are both much better prospects than our WRs. Our guys don't have nearly the measurables. I was stunned when I saw the workout numbers our guys put up, they flat out didn't show the athleticism that NFL teams want to see in a WR.
They'll get looks as UDFAs for sure. If they can prove that they can play football in camp the workouts won't matter. They'll get a chance.

Greg Jennings was a legit player, producing huge numbers for a poor to average team. No wonder Darnell got canned.

MAC hasbeens???? I wouldn't say that about any of the MAC players that were drafted before or after Omar. And for that matter, a few of those "hasbeens" just torched BG this past season, so maybe we're the ones to thank for improving their draft stock.

Where did Dixon end up going? I didn't see his name while watching the draft.

You might want to point the finger at our Spread Offense which is scene as a gimmick offense at the pro level.

I wasn't talking about the players themselvese but the teams they were on.

I wouldn't call any team that beat us last year "hasbeens."

Right, any team, or any players from those teams. If anything, looking back at 2005 with all the talent we had and going 6-5.....we looked like the "hasbeens."
