it is a good place for him to develop, but when is he ever going to play in pittsburgh. seriously. with big ben there, he will never be a starter as long as he is therehammb wrote:I hate the Steelers, but it is a great place for Omar, really. No pressure and has a chance to develop.

That's not the point -- he's there to develop so the Steelers have a) insurance for Ben, and b) Quality trade bait.svillefalcon wrote:it is a good place for him to develop, but when is he ever going to play in pittsburgh. seriously. with big ben there, he will never be a starter as long as he is therehammb wrote:I hate the Steelers, but it is a great place for Omar, really. Omar is best off in places like Pitt or NE, where solid organizations can help him improve his ability. While Hammb may in the end be right, under this situation, you never know where Omar can go. I think he is lucky to land with a real organization, and if he gets a chance due to injury, he might be off to the races.

Omar got the break that Josh didn't when he was drafted by the Ravens. Omar gets to go to a quality organization with a history of developing QB's. Even if he just spends a couple of years absorbing information under Ben and Batch, he'll be so much further ahead than if he'd gone to perennial QB killer like the Lions
