Omar picked by the Steelers in the 5th. Not the ideal situation for a young QB with Big Ben already there.

Assuming those BG fans are also Browns fans.thedrum wrote:Granted, it will be excrutiating for most BG fans to see Omar surrounded by terrible towels, but I'm sure everybody can find a happy median.
Omar is not going to step in as a backup QB for a Super Bowl Champ. He will not be insurance for Big Ben. He is too much of a project for that. Batch is the Backup right now and while he is not great, the Steelers would certainly trust him more than a rookie taken in the 5th round. At best he will be the third option and likely a practice squad member.thedrum wrote:Also, Omar is a GREAT insurance QB for the Steelers. If Big Ben ever goes down again, he's can step in and be the same consistant type of QB that Roethlesberger is. He can develop under an awesome coaching staff and go from there.

He will learn, however, from great coaches.
He'll be the 3rd QB to start the season.fredthefalcon wrote:Omar is not going to step in as a backup QB for a Super Bowl Champ. He will not be insurance for Big Ben.
