Just back from flag football ... another classic

The Falcons (flag edition) unloaded on Notre Dame tonight. I was giving some of the younger kids a few extra carries when one of the ND coaches said that one of our players was "being a little rough."
I figured he was throwing the kids down or punching or tripping or something. No, the ND coach said, he's blocking them so hard that he's knocking them down.
I looked at him in stunned silence. OK, I'll say something to him, I said.
We responded by running the first double reverse of the season. Noah ran 60 yards to set up our second pass play of the season, our first TD threw the air. Then I gave the "too rough" player a chance to run the old QB sneak for the PAT.
We play them again on Wednesday and I must say I'm looking forward to it, as are our kids.

What a moron! I would have looked at him and said, "Are you a moron? That is what blocking is all about!" I'm glad to see you are teaching your kids to be physical unlike the ND coach. These games actually sound kind of interesting to watch. You should have someone tape one and upload the big plays on here!!

You should bring him some pancakes next time. That way he can eat them while his team is getting pancaked.

TG:
You know, I took a class in Recreational Planning (or something like that) as part of my Sports Management minor and we spent a day learning about scheduling scenarios and variables. I'm certain no one from our league has had such a course, because our schedule is a train wreck. We play three games in six days, then we're off for a week, then three more games in six days, then off for a week and a half. Plus, we played the same team three out of four games earlier in the season.
The cool thing now is that the Monday and Wednesday games are played under the lights!
