"Vincent Corner, a great football name, is a cornerback from Springfield North and won the 110 Hurdles in a time of 13.82 seconds"
Bg football sure has increased its speed with this years class, i look forward to watching the freshmen progress.

Go Falcons
I think Macon and Thomas will be the hard-nosed backs that fight for tough yards this year with Bullock and Corner being the so-called home-run hitters that can literally score from anywhere with their breakaway speed. Thomas, if need be, still is eligible for a redshirt down the line. I fully expect Corner to redshirt this year.
Depth is a great problem to have.

Right on, Option. I feel we should be able to run the ball pretty effectively this year.OptionQB wrote:I think Macon and Thomas will be the hard-nosed backs that fight for tough yards this year with Bullock and Corner being the so-called home-run hitters that can literally score from anywhere with their breakaway speed. And what a problem we have these days.

Let's hope he contributes more to the BG program than REGGIE CORNER.edr4225 wrote:http://ohiostate.scout.com/2/528662.html

I do. And I can't effin' wait. 8)moneymaker02 wrote:ummmmm you do realize that macon run's a legit 4.3 and is easilly the fastest guy on the team.
My dad is all worried about our offense this year, but I don't think he believes what I've told him about Dan...

I'll believe Macon's "legit" 4.3 when I see it. That would put him in some rareified air and not make him the fastest at BG, but one of the fastest in all of college football.
There are a lot of rumors of speeds of this and that, but 4.3 is almost "mythical" at the mid-major level.
There were rumors that a kid from my HS ran a 4.6 on the digital Woody Hayes equipment at a tOSU camp in the summer and the longest run he had all year was a little more than 10 yards. The HS's O-line sucks, but he also nowhere near a 4.6

don't shoot the messanger, i just get my information from the players. sometimes i speak of it on here and sometimes i don't. but after the spring game i was talkin to my friend who plays d-line and i was like, "man, macon sure gets thru the whole faster than pj or bj ever did" and he said "that's because macon runs a 4.3."
also, guys who run 4.3's aren't as uncommon as they used to be, and also, 4.6 isn't that fast these days especailly at skill positions. 4.6 is only fast if you play d-line or something. hell, aj hawk and ernie sims both ran 4.4's i believe and those are linebackers.

Hawk ran a 4.5 at the combine.
I agree though, 4.3 guys are becoming more common by the day. I remember the first name I heard of running a 4.3 was Nilo Silvan of Tennessee back around 94-95. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't someone run a 4.2 at the combine?
I don't think it's inconceivable at all to have a 4.3 guy at BGSU. A 4.3 guy that runs hurdles and has the ability to be a running back would be flat out outstanding.

It's pretty obvious you arent an athlete otherwise you'd know that you can't tell how fast someone is just by a 10 yard run, most people hit full speed in the 40 around 20-25 yards.

Corner a rb?? I would think that VC would have more impact as his name implies a cornerback instead of rb. We seem to be more than loaded at that position right now. I like to see as many incredibly fast and athletic guys on defense as possible. Not saying Vincent wouldn't be a nice rb , but if he's as fast and athletic as it appears he's , it may be a wast to redshirt him if he can give us amazing depth at corner, but then again, maybe we have all the guys we need at that position and redshirting is the best thing. Just my thoughts.OptionQB wrote:I think Macon and Thomas will be the hard-nosed backs that fight for tough yards this year with Bullock and Corner being the so-called home-run hitters that can literally score from anywhere with their breakaway speed. Depth is a great problem to have.
