Do you keep Barnes or whoever is your starter in place or go back to Turner?
From a superstition point of view, I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I haven't watched practices, but from gameday stuff Turner has done nothing at this point. If somebody else steps up and plays well throughout camp to earn the starting nod against Wisconsin, and then goes on to play well, I'd have no qualms about sticking with him. As far as I'm concerned we're in a full on QB battle anyways...Turner just appears to have the upper hand. I really want to see if either of the freshman are ready to play. This season is going to be a down year anyways, I'm quite willing to take some lumps with a true freshman QB if that looks like it'd be better for the future of the program.

As I mentioned on the Rocket board, I hope Turner knows his baseball history-the Wally Pip story might be particularly meaningful to him.

I read the thread's title and thought this was going to be a fill-in the blank. I was sure hammb & I would be the first to say "eat a bug."

BG will not even come within 2 TD's of the Badgers this year, our D was bad last year but we return 9 starters and a lot of others that will help off the bench. We will still run the ball all over opponents with a good OL and we always seem to produce an all american RB, so keep dreaming

I would say that Barnes gets the nod for at least the next game.. or whoever starts. How about Brandon throws down something like, whoever practices the best gets the start against Wiscy, and if we win that game that same person gets to start the next one as well! Nothing like a little in house motivation!

Hey Badger8843 How was that 40 pt offensive exposion treating ya from last year? You may get us this year but your defensive coordinator's headset is still spinning after last year's game. North Carolina couldn't even score a touchdown on you and we hung half a hundred on ya!! I know..I know... you beat us but still...what a performance from a "little ole MAC team", heh?

Ohhh Cowboy, yea you put 40 pts on a young defense but we have 9 count them 9 returning and all your big gun offense guys are gone. Here's the thing we beat you last year at your own game we ran up and down the field and put up 56 pts on you talk about a D coordinator, yours should of got fired after that.
This year we will beat you by way more then 14 pts with and you also wont even reach half of the points you scored last year, ohhh I can't wait but hey you guys play the little man card, when a big team woops on you all you hear is well were a MAC team you should beat us. However when you guys upset someone like you did with Purdue then it's see the MAC teams are just as good. Don't worry the Badgers will make this game a laugher as most of the posters would agree, see ya in 4 months.

The "way more" seems right in line with your 31-13 prediction in another thread....
I guess the math skills are right up there with the "then vs. than" skills, eh?

Badger, interesting how an innocuously worded thread title chafed your pucker forcing you to make some comment which you knew would be countered.
The result of this is a thread which is beginning to veer off the path of the original intent of discussion. Cowboy is similarly guilty.
Now, let's get back to talk abour our potentian or impending QB controversy, shall we?

i hate to see this but i agree with badger. especially if barners starts since he can only throw the ball 15 yards.

I agree with Hammb. While I want to see AT get the job done, IMO, this is open audition at QB and the best player that steps up should get the starting gig...even a true frosh like Sheehan or Glaud.
I don't think this will be a "down" year for BG but I also know we probably won't win more than 7-8 games. As long as we are contending for the East crown, that's all that matters to me this year.

And that has nothing to do with the intended topic of this thread.
Stay on target.

Yeah, but didn't BG fans say that a certain kid named Bruce Gradkowski could only throw the ball 15 yards and he had a pretty damn good college career with a MAC Title and MAC Co-MVP Trophy despite RedWingTom telling us he had the arm of his grandmother.
Seriously though, don't knock Barnes just yet.
