'87,

I think we had a bit of your story from the other day. Green played Mogadore tonight on the road. Defensive struggle and a 0-0 deadlock until the 4th quarter.
Green starts running the ball down Mogadore's throat (Who, BTW, has a big green block "M" on the helmet..."just like Marshall" as Josh put it).
The Bulldogs drive to the Wildcat 3 and on 3rd and goal, Joey Tricaso takes the handoff and goes right over left tackle for the TD...and the left tackle is Josh Wherley! Josh drove his man so far into the endzone that Joey could have walked backwards on his hands and feet and scored. Josh blocked so well tonight. He has learned to keep driving his feet and staying on his man. Must say I am very proud of him! And he's having fun, which is most important. But he really manhandled his opponent tonight. :D
After a Green stop on D, The Bulldogs hit on a 50 yard pass (5 yard pass, 45 yard run  ) to score again in less than 2 minutes. The Mogadore coaches were not pleased but come on...Green was practicing a passing play. They try maybe 2 passing plays A GAME. We can't help it if our kid broke 17 tackles along the way. Besides, earlier in the game whenever Green had a big run, a late flag would come in from the side. I mean Taco Bell at 4am LATE. Whatever....

Green played well tonight and moved to 3-2-1 on the year and hosts Cuyahoga Falls in the home finale next Tuesday.

GO BG!~

Freak:

Incredible update. Sounds like Josh is really coming into his own!

I find that I'm enjoying this so much more than I ever did as a player. Watching the kids is really a joy!

Freak & 87 alum, it is cool when your kids start to play Jim started playing tackle at 7 on a 7-8 year old team. Brad started at 6 on Jim's 7-8 team when he was 8. that was the last time they played together until Brad came to BG in 2002&2003. Big reason Brad committed to BG so he could play with Jim
