USA Today/Sagarin Says MAC is second-worst Conference

And its not close. In fact, we are barely ahead of the Sun Belt, and pretty far below the next highest conference. Ouch. However, I guess we don't have much to complain about, given that our conference's major achievement of 2004 is beating Temple twice.

I have a serious problem with CUSA being above the WAC. Thats just rediculous. You cant ride 1 team above 3 conferences. Especially since Boise could detroy an all-CUSA team.

edit.....it also make you wonder where we stood last season after we bashed some BcS skulls in on a regular basis. Not to mention having multiple teams sit at home in Dec that shouldnt have.

Hey, how about knocking off an SEC team. Now that's something to brag about, especially if you're Hail Peden.

I can't complain where the conference is in the ranking, heck we're probably lucky to be above the Sun Belt this year. Troy made the Sun Belt an awful lot better.

I can't argue with this. Between the directionals, Ohio U, Kent, Akron, UCF & Buffalo - these are really bad teams. In fact if they didn't play each other, they might not have any wins at all. Heck half the time these guys struggle with 1-AA opponents. We should trim the fat and schedule more out of conference games. I get frustrated with how bad some of these teams are every single year.

I wasn't expecting the MAC to match last year's success in the non-conference slate this season, but we should have done a better job than what we ended up doing this season, that's for sure.

No argument here, we have 1 semi-quality win as a conference and that was only over a poor Kentucky team.

Agreed. Big East kicked out temple, why cant we do a little hosuekeeping as well? I think some changed to the bottom tier of the MAC could be huge for the conf. I bet that if we proposed such a plan, we could suck some teams away from their own conf.

keep:

BGSU
ut
MU
NIU
WMU
BSU
OU

try to snag:
Troy(assuming this year isnt a one hit wonder)
Navy (a team on the ride, without a conf.)
Temple (?????)
So. Miss
S. Fla

granted this wouldnt happen, but you never know, the school may say they will do it if everyone else does, b/c it will make one hell of a conf.

North:
BGSU, ut, WMU, BSU, NIU, MU

South:OU, Troy, Navy, Temple, So. Miss., USF.

No, he has stated that he will die b4 he lets me ever be ahead of him though, Im just posting on stuff I want to talk about, while trying to make him flip out at the same time. I enjoy logging on and seeing McMetz up the boards....lol

Trash talk much? :D My only goal was to have a BG student be the first Perigrine over a TU student. I never stated I would die before I let you get back ahead because I know you eventually will. Also, I am not flipping out about anything!!! I really do not like lack of respect from you, it will no longer be tolerated :P

The two of you have 1,114 total posts. I figure each post on average takes 2 minutes to actually log on and post something. 2,228 minutes of your lives have been spent posting that is a little over 37 hours. The two of you should date. Actually since most of this is probably done on work time, you have spent a weeks worth of work posting. Please send me your resume's I would like to hire each of you.

Wow...never thought of it like that before! I just got an eval today, and am considered a fairly productive worker. Imagine how much more productive I could be if this site didn't exist...

However, I do a lot of posting at home too, just most of it is at work.
