Good High School football this week

Post by Anonymous »

If anyone wants to see a heck of a high school football game I would suggest going to the Otsego (6-0) vs Eastwood (5-1) game at Eastwood this week. Both teams are averaging almost 40 points a game. Both teams have great offenses and great defenses. Otsego ranked 11 in the state. As a BG grad I hated to see a smaller school like Otsego kick our ass every year. Should be a heck of a game.

Otsego 34
Eastwood 27 OT

Not sure of the site but I looked at it the other day. Computer rankings are also in the Toledo Blade today. Go to Google and type in Ohio High School Football Computer Rankings and you should find it then

I remember back in the early 90's when Northwood (my HS) would kill both Otsego and Eastwood every year. Then of course I got to high school and the team was completely horrible! Now they switched to the TAAC and actually win occasionally...

Computer Points

KDOGG,
If you're home base is Austintown, I assume you can get copies of the Cleve. PD.... this week's computer rankings are in the sports.... I would assume ALL major papers would print them weekly. 8)

Just checked the computer rankings and its nice to see my High School (St. Henry HS) doing well (5 -1) as well as the rest of the MAC. Which is probably one of the toughest athletic conferences every single year in almost every single sport. :D :D :D

That conference is unbelieveable. Anyone who follows Ohio HS football closely knows how tough it is. Didn't they have 2 different state champs in the same season come out of it recently?

I've been away from the state and HS football for a while, but I do believe that the last 2 or 3 years actually the MAC has had 2 teams in the State Championships (Div. IV and V or V and VI I cant remember). I believe that Marion Local and Versailles played in it last year and the year before that it was Delphos St. Johns and ??? . Again I could be wrong, But yeah the conference is pretty impressive in number of championships and just overall talent.
