From the BG News:
Greg Christopher has been selected as the new athletic director for Bowling Green State University.
Christopher will replace Paul Krebs, who stepped down to accept a similar position at the University of New Mexico on March 13.
The final decision came Friday, just nine days after the University announced it was down to two finalists - the other being Whit Babcock from West Virginia University.
University president Sidney Ribeau and vice president of student affairs Ed Whipple chose Christopher on Friday after both candidates visited Bowling Green for interviews.
Christopher is the outgoing associate athletic director at Purdue University, where he's worked since 1997. He also has Mid-American Conference ties, graduating from Miami University 1988 with a degree in Mass Communication.
At Purdue, Christopher oversaw the John Purdue Club, marketing, promotions and advertising, sports videos, and sports information. He also played an important role in a campus-wide capital campaign, which is set to raise at least $111 million for Purdue.
The official announcement is expected Wednesday.
