Could be loads of fun in cleveland and at home.

My first Clippers game was on Lou Forrest night. I was in first grade and loved ringing that damn bell. I went to a game a few weeks ago and I didn't see one bell and the song wasn't played.

I hear it's seldom played anymore. Actually that was a great song for a minor league team. And everyone participated - that's what you want.
Lou Forest? Is he still around?

I did a google search and apparently he goes by Louis de la Foret. He must have changed it when he hit the big time and went to CNN.

Technically artificial noisemakers are illegal at NCAA sporting events.
Mississippi State can't ring their trademark bells anymore, but I am not sure why ThunderStix aren't included in the list of airhorns and the such.

...and it's not really a noise issue, but that stench that eminates from the UT sections has to be a violation of SOMETHING!!!

I'm pretty sure the rule is handed out at the conference level. From what I remember, the MAC either doesn't have a rule or it does not enforce it.
The SEC does have a very strict artificial noisemaker rule and a couple of years ago they started enforcing it pretty hard.
