Time change for Wisconsin game

Post by BG fan in Toledo »

I may have missed something on this board from earlier, but I see the time for the Wisconsin game in Cleveland has changed from 1pm to 7pm. Much better start time, now we have all afternoon to tailgate in Cleveland! Hope there will be other BG tailgaters in the parking lot to the West of the stadium, down the hill by the rr tracks.

Interesting. The Ticketmaster says 7 but our schedule on the website says 1. I would absolutely love a change to 7, but we will be there in Orange either way.

The Cleveland Browns website shows a 7pm start now, as well.

The BGSU Falcon website says 7pm and notes the change if you click on the link "Clash in Cleveland".

Yeah, I saw that, but when you go to the ordinary schedule link it still says 1.

The Wisconsin site says TBA!

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!

I just checked it out, and it's showing on Ticketmaster that the gametime has changed as well. That is truly awesome. The game will no longer conflict with the OSU game, and that should boost attendance from local Clevelanders a LOT.

I was torn between a hotel for Friday to get there early or Saturday to party all night, now Saturday should be a lock :)

This is truly great news. I hate day games :)

This is truely a blessing, I bought eight tickets and then figured I couldn't go because I had to coach a JV game. Now, I can for sure go and use all 8 tickets.

Hammb - You'll have to give me your number so I can tailgate a little with you.

The OSU game is at 3:30, so I guess 7:00 (3 1/2 hrs. later) is a little better than 1:00 (2 1/2 hrs. before) in that regard.

My first thought was that this was being done to accommodate TV. But, unless some other starting times are changed, I don't know what network would broadcast the game.

Their slate is already full.

ESPN @ 5:30 = Cal vs Tennessee

ESPNU @ 7 = UVA vs Pittsburgh

ESPN2 @ 7:45 = WSU vs Auburn

ESPN @ 8:45 = USC at Arkansas

I don't know what FSN or other networks might do, but the ESPN family is out of the question.

Not only is the countdown clock updated at BGSUsports.com, but now you all can be just like Freak with this handy desktop countdown application! Yeah, it's an .exe, and everything you've come to know about computers probably tells you not to open it, but it's from me, and Freak's had one for months now and apparently *his* computer still works!

Anyway... http://www.bgsusports.com/wisky06.exe ...if you're interested.

As for the game... God help my liver.

I'm not sure that this might be an issue, but perhaps enough Wisconsin fans couldn't find hotel rooms and the time was moved back to accomadate them driving in.

Either way, this spells massive trouble, two sets of fans that have been on the drink all day. Lovely.

Actually, even with a good morning worth of drinking in the system, the majority of Wisky fans couldn't have been better to be around. The ones that seemed the most troublesome were the students hanging around their balconies, and even some of them were all right.

I have a feeling it's gonna be one hell of a party. I just wish we could have shown some of the Wisky fans what a great little town BG is, but Cleveland will do.
