That's one of the more optimistic analysis so far....with Athalon ranking us like 4th in the East, Sporting News also had BG near the top and potential contender. But to go so far as a potential 10 win season?

Seems plausible....if we look good early, we'll contend. It could be that simple.

No mention of the Bird in the depth chart...keep the faith M.I.

Spart you think your boy had anything to do with that PR avg?

Hey thats no problem. Most of the preseason magazines got it right. Just tells us who is "Informed" and who isn't. I've been told that the PK they (collegesfootballnews) listed on the depth chart is no longer with the team. It takes time (or they have to take the time) to get it right. <g> We're just waiting to see what number he ends up with...

GO FALCONS!

Same preview is on Fox Sports/College Football page. Obviously, they are the same company. Hey, I'm optimistic but when I saw this guy saying we could win 10 games this year???? I'll drink that kool aid any day.

GO FALCONS!!!! 8 weeks to go....BEAT THE BADGERS

CFN likes BGSU's coaches. I think this would be better news in the longer term than the haphazard prospect of a 10-0 season.

What about it, coaches? How does the coaching squad measure up this year?

I think our coaches can really establish themselves in the next couple years. They are standing on the edge. Are they just riding the Urban momentum, or are they championship coaches in their own right? They will be able to answer that question, and neither they nor their critics will be able to hide from the results.

My personal opinion is that we are a year away. I would love to see us exceed expectations this year, win the division, and then come back next year and dominate. But time will tell.

Odd......

No mention of "Big Bird" at all in the special teams comments.

As far as the D-line getting supposedly smaller with B.Williams moving to DT again  our run defense woes will more than likely continue. I'm interested in seeing if DJ Young has a chance at starting or playing a serious backup role at DT or NG.

I think Young is going to get a serious chance to play right away.

O & B,
I agree with everything you said in your post. I don't want to look past this year but part of me cannot wait to see this program in 2007. I think we can win the East this year.

Of course he is -- CFN is mostly nonsense.

I didn't mean to cause anybody to have an anuerism or anything, just thought it was weird that CFN only mentioned Nick Goss as the kicker and nothing of Sean Ellis. But no doubt he is coming here.
