Student Tickets?

Does anyone know when the students are suppose to get their Wisconsin game tickets or were we suppose to already have them? Because we had to go and buy them and they said at a later day we could come get them on a first come first serve basis.

Also...do anyone know if they are selling student tickets for the Ohio State game or anything like that?

Thanks for any help.

Sidenote...a friend gave us some shirts that on the front said: "Unfalconbelievable" and on the back said "I know I am, but what are you?" I thought they were cool. And, the SBX had some "Rematch! BGSU Vs. Ohio State" and "Bad news for the buckeyes... Bowling Green Vs Ohio State, There's another team up North!" The one has 9-13-97 on them, but I figure they could still be good use...they were only 10 cents a piece. Thought I would share that.

I went with my friend to orientation last month and I was told we would get the Wisconsin tickets when we get back. Also the OSU tickets will go on sale when we get back to school.

thanks!

Yeah I believe sometime during the first week of classes we can up tix. The date is still to be announced I guess  . What sucks is it's first come first serve on the day that pick up is. I bought my tickets like a half hour after they went on sale to get in the first couple rows. Now it all depends on waiting in line with a ton of other people for probably a long time and hoping to get good seats. What if I have class during the pick up time?? I really wasn't happy they didn't give me the tickets back in April. Oh we'll take your money but you'll have to come back sometime in August to get them along with a thousand other kids  .

No kidding. I had class at 9:30 and I went there when they opened at 9:00 thinking I could get great tickets and when they told me that, I was just kind of like... what? I'm hoping I don't have class, because I don't want to have to skip that early in the year. But I am not going to be sitting/standing way in the back in the pound, so I guess you gotta do, what you gotta do. I think your ticket should determine when you originally bought the ticket way back when.

Sadly, that system isn't fair to incoming freshmen.

I've been very critical of our marketing department in the past, but I have to give them props for how they've advertised this game to the students. They have a ticket booth set up strictly for incoming freshmen in the Union during O-Reg. This is a great plan, because if you can hook them while you're young, then you can have well attended fans for 4-5 years.

The tobacco industry would be proud.

I do believe that if you can hook them young, it really does play out.

When I came here just a few years ago, I had friends and a cousin who were seniors and already had tailgating traditions. After missing the first game when I was a freshman I haven't missed one home game and go to at least 2 away games a year (including OSU and Wisconsin). I hardly work nemore on the weekends during football season.

If they can get incoming freshman excited about it while they're all here together in orientation they might make a good showing. Also, if they happen to purchase tickets then they might just feel obligated to go as well.

HAHAHAHA

bad news

for the buckeyes

please. thats the funniest joke i have heard in a while

like BG has anyone who can catch Ginn in the secondary, or can stop Pittman or "beanie" from running them over, or stop smith from passing or running with the ball.

The defense was bad last year. I doubt they improve much, if any this year.

Thanks for the laugh though.

At 10 bucks a pop for students to go to the BG-Wisconsin game, I would hope that students will show up. I realize that it is a holiday weekend, but it is also a holiday weekend for those of us in the real world. Plus you will hopefully have some money saved up and won't have to go to mommy and daddy to borrow some.

It's people like you that make me rethink whether or not I want to root for the Buckeyes. I've always been a Buckeye fan, and likely always will be, but my god I hate their fans. I have friends that talk like this as well, and it bugs the hell out of me.

The Buckeyes are not god's gift to football. They have a LOT of questionmarks this year as well. Yes, I expect them to beat BG handily this year, but that's besides the point. I feel that way because I know that BG will be having a down year this year. People like you seem to feel that way because BG couldn't hope to be in the class of the mighty OSU.

Thanks for giving all OSU fans a bad name...

I really hate the buckeyes, and people like you add to the fact. You can talk all the trash you want and brag all you want. I'll still be in Columbus decked out in the orange and brown rooting for the falcons until the last second ticks off. But I wouldn't talk to much, you never know what might happen, and you might be suprised. :-D

Also, I'm glad they are advertising a lot for the games as well because it seems like they wait until too close to the game. This way people can plan for it, and they fact student tickets are $10, how could you not go? I just hope us students don't wimp out with excuses and not go.
