I think there have been rumors on here, but nobody has ever come up with anything concrete.Redwingtom wrote:According to the MACReportOnline season preview he is out with academic issues. Anyone else heard this?

The guy that does the MAC Report Online recently interviewed Greg Brandon, so I would have to think this is legit.Redwingtom wrote:According to the MACReportOnline season preview he is out with academic issues. Anyone else heard this?

Bobby T. definitely showed some signs of good things to come, but with Macon rested and ready (and hopefully hungry) after a red shirt season and Bullock in the wings I think the running game is near the bottom on our list of worries heading in to '06.
phewwwwww I'm out of breathe after that run on sentence. . .

Not sure, but he's probably a hell of a lot smarter than Gregg Brandon is.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:rocketfootball wrote:The guy that does the MAC Report Online recently interviewed Greg Brandon, so I would have to think this is legit.Redwingtom wrote:According to the MACReportOnline season preview he is out with academic issues. In this Toledo Blade article on the players being in Cleveland yesterday, it says that Thomas is indeed out for academic reasons.

So, I guess it's true. Really too bad.NOTES: The Falcons report Aug. 4 and fall camp starts the next day. … Brandon said sophomore running back Bobby Thomas is academically ineligible and is not on the roster. Last season Thomas played in nine games and had 183 yards rushing.

As much as I'd like to see us get a premiere athlete put on defense, if the kid's best position is RB, that's where we should put him. We are certainly not so good at the position that we couldn't use the help.Flipper wrote:That leaves Macon, Winovich and Bullock in the backfield. He was one of my favorite players!
This will definitely be a big loss for the team because at the Ball St. game last year he looked like much better back both running and catching compared to B.J. Lane! Hopefully Chris Bullock will be a stud and we can still use that 2-back set a lot!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
