Dang, that is great for Miami. I wonder if Hawkins (former Boise head coach) had some influence in agreeing to come play at a MAC facility?

That is a great deal for Miami, but I still would think that the deal was made easier with Dan Hawkins at the helm of CU coming from little ole Boise State!

Wisconsin has more positive name value and regional appeal than Colorado, especially given the current state of the programs.

Playing in the NFL venue is better for recruting and likely a more memorable experience for the players.

Plus, Colorado must not think Miami will be much of a threat a few years down the road.

Now that we are having these College games being played at Pro sites. Could we get two in a day? What about in season College tourneys with the new 12 game schedules? 4 teams each plays two games. Winners play and Losers play. Over a two week early season span.

Playing Colorado on your home field is a bigger deal than playing Wisconsin on a neutral field. Glass has as much water in it as it does.

I don't see the college football world, or the football fans in Oxford for that matter, waiting with baited breath for that epic Colorado/Miami (Ohio) matchup.

I'd be far more excited to play a team that just beat a nine-win Auburn team in a January 1st bowl game in an almost brand new NFL facility than a program caked in negative publicity on the rebound in Yeager.

Judging by the event in Cleveland, other alums and supporters are equally fired up about it.

I dunno. The Wisky game at CBS is pretty cool and all, but having a BCS-conference school actually play at your stadium just feels better to me. I'd like the Wisky game a whole lot more if we had six games at the Doyt in addition to a game at a neutral field.

Six home games at the Doyt would be sweet, but financially, playing games such as Wisky @ CBS & @ tOSU just make so much more sense. For a smaller football school like BGSU, some of these games are pretty much a requirement in order to get the budget numbers to where they need to be.

I think it would be great if we had 6 games at the Doyt, a team like Wisky @ CBS & a game at the Shoe. I just don't see that as a very feasible thing. Who knows, stranger things have happened.

We're scheduled to have Minnesota at the Doyt on or before the time Colorado plays at Miami(OH). At this point, I'd have to give Minny the nod over Colorado as far as opponents go, although both can be classified as good gets.

I'd have to agree there. I'd be much more excited to play a Big Ten team than a Big 12 team. I think both are close as far as level of play. Considering the MAC & the Big Ten are both midwest conferences, I think most fans, both diehard & casual would agree.

Discounting the status of either/any program, it is a much better deal to play a 1 for 1 series with a BCS school while hosting your home game in your own stadium then hosting your 'home' game in a stadium 125 miles away. Period. There is no arguing this topic.

I don't think you can discount the status of the programs and just slap BCS on all of them ignoring both their prowess and their position in the college football landscape. Is USC the same as Indiana? In terms of perception and PR, is Duke lacrosse just another NCAA lacrosse program? These factors are not so easily discounted.

It is equally silly to pretend Cleveland is just some distant outpost 125 miles away and not one of the epicenters of BGSU alumni presence and activity, not to mention the fact that Cleveland Browns Stadium is slightly more unique type of venue to hold such a contest.

This self-loathing, grass-is-greener mentality over everything is amazing.
