Saw this last week in the Sentinel but forgot to mention it and didn't see it elsewhere on here. Anyhow, Krebs made a $25,000 donation. I thought that was a pretty nice move on his part.

That is great that Paul would give back - a nice going away present.
I am still assuming the "Anonymous" donor to the Falcon club is really Urban Meyer - so greatful to get his first big break at BGSU.

Urban is a crucial part in our Southeast recruiting. You don't think our staff magically just finds these guys that no other schools see do you?
Ask Coach Brandon who is always looking out for BG down in Florida...
On a personal level, I think UM is a complete dick, however he's a great football coach and he is grateful to those who were with him here.

What did the story say? I had thought he donated early on when he was trying to get others to donate, not as he was leaving.

I understand Urbie is helping the program behind the scenes, but it would be nice to get a little cash outta him given his income has exploded in recent years. This is all in jest mind you. I would likely be doing the same thing he is in his position. I would just like a nice payday game in the Swamp.

That's awesome that he donated to SEBO, yet another reason for us to say its sad to see him go!

He might be taking a big chunk out of his first year's salary at New Mexico to do this -- money he wouldn't have at Bowling Green. That would be my guess.
Man, that's class all the way.

Random thought I had earlier that keeps coming back. I don't know Paul Krebs, or even know a whole lot about his background aside from various titles at various colleges of various sizes, but I wonder how he'd do as a president of the university at some point after Dr. Ribeau calls it a day? Alot of steps Krebs makes (this one ESPECIALLY) shows his love for BGSU, and he seems to have the vision and drive to make things happen.
Maybe he's all about athletics, and maybe he'd be horribly underqualified, but thinking about all he's done (and apparently continues to do) made my mind wander for a bit.

It will never happen for one reason: Paul does not have his Ph.D.

Yeah. Now Ohio State would hire a non-PHD athletic director for that job, or former football coaches. Maybe they are going to make that Archie’s next figure-head job? Only on Cowlumbus would the Columbiots cheer the departure of somebody that dared to try to prevent drunken riots.
