Some great reports from Omar first practice...

"Rookie quarterback Omar Jacobs looked sharp on the throwing drills, putting numerous deep passes right on the money. The more I see of him, the less I’m bothered by his awkward throwing motion. He has a strong arm and nice touch on his passes.

On one particular play in the one-on-one receivers vs. defensive backs drills, Jacobs threw a perfect deep ball to Nate Washington, who made a leaping catch over Ricardo Colclough for a touchdown.

Later, Jacobs was right on the money on a deep post to Quincy Morgan, had gotten behind two defensive backs, but Morgan dropped the pass."

Q: How did Omar Jacobs look?

KW: For a young quarterback he shows some things that make you thing there’s some potential there. He’s still new to getting away from the center. There was one today where he didn’t take it far enough on his drop and the line came back to him and he was jammed up. That’s something that he’ll see as he gets more experience doing it, you know, getting away from the center, getting set, throwing it on time. But in the pocket he’s a big guy; he can see the field and he can make some throws.

What? Quincy Morgran dropeed a pass...NO WAY.....

Quincy Morgan is quickly losing his job to Tiffin's own Nate Washington.

And with Reid to handle the return duties this year, Morgan isn't even useful there anymore. Somebody'll pick him up and hope he learns to catch the ball. Maybe he'll end up back in Cleveland.

Don't bet on it. They just let a 1000 yard WR walk because he didn't have consistent hands. Bryant has the hands of Jerry Rice in comparison to Quincy Morgan.
