It doesn't sound very good to me, either. They are messing with a good thing, it seems to me.

I saw this clock thing for the first time the other day. "Stupid" doesn't even begin to describe it.
Novak's right... "What disturbs me is all these rules are being made to shorten the games, but we're long because of the commercials. The game is great -- shorten the commercials."
And what's this with "losing timeouts on replay challenges"??? Are they changing the replay procedure, too? Or did this just mean "losing one" when a coach has to strategically call a T.O. to give the replay booth more time to look at things? (Which really, that should be changed to a more NFL style anyway, or at least give the T.O. back if a replay overturns a call, IMO.)

I agree with Novak 100 percent. Leave the game alone and shorten the number and lenghth of the damn commercials. But...money makes the world go around - and that certainly applies to college football too.

of couse thats why the game is so long...everyone knows this. But of course the NCAA isn't going to lost money by shortening the commercials...I hate Myles Brand.

I can't believe that I'm actually agreeing with Joe Novak

I hate the rule change as well. The only way I could change it into a postive is that it might help BG. We seem to be a good 1st Q team and not 3rd and 4th. Who knows? It could be the difference between a win and a loss somewhere along the line!
