I think most of this is old news, but here goes:
O-Line- Lichtensteiger at C, Markray and Lanning at G, Nystrom moves to LT and Huelsman takes over at RT. Patrick Watson is challenging Lanning at LG.
Injuries- Parks recovery from a broken leg has been slowed by mononucleosis. He hasn't worked out for about two weeks. Nick Davis is also down with mono. "They'll be ready to go," Brandon said. Briggs is making a slow recovery from his broken foot. Finally out of the boot and doing some light running. Brandon is hopeful he will be ready to go against Wisc. Perry is no longer in school. "He's got a medical issue that he just wasn't able to overcome, " Brandon said.
Freshman- All 22 incoming frosh have been attending classes and workouts.
WRs- Brantley and Jones could be factors this year.
Other- Bobby Thomas is out for academic reasons. Vincent Corner, a 5-9 200 lb freshman from Springfield North, is a possible RB candidate. He was second in the state 110 hurdles last spring.

Thanks Warthog!!
5'-9" and 200 lbs....Sounds a lot like PJ Pope.
I had mono when I was in college. It took me a long time to recover (damn you, Suzanne Jenks for giving me that disease) A lot longer than a month, anyway.
Sorry to hear about Perry. We really could have used a big hitting safety next year. Of course wh have one (Dozier) playing LB....

Not encouraging at all. Sounds like Briggs and Parks won't be any where near 100% for Wisky (heck, maybe even Buffalo) if they're even able to be a factor.

Yeah, we are shallow on the defensive side already. Its OK. We just need to be cranking when we play Akron, Miami and Toledo.

Thanks for the update, WH. I wish the ST would get online!!
Some good news and some not so good news.
Brantley and Jones could be factors this year. They had better be...they've been in the program for 5 years and this year is it! Step up now or forever hold your peace. They have great speed but I'm not sold on their hands.

Yeah, Freak. My concern is that they'll be factors only because we don't have a lot of other options. Scanning the roster, here are the names listed as returning at WR: Partridge, M. Parks (as noted, recovering from injury & mono), Jones, Hancock, Brantley, Magner, Aaron Davis, Ruiz, Emans, Kennedy, Callier. And the 2006 signees listed as WR: Brighton, Charles, K. Davis, Pronty.
Combined, those folks caught 43 passes. Take Corey out of the equation and they caught 20.

I hear ya, '87.. We better be able to run the ball, which I think we can...Our O line should be the strength of the team this year. Losing Thomas to grades certainly doesn't help but I think Macon is raring to go. Bullock has been mentioned as having potential as well.
Coach Azzanni is going to have a heck of a job this year. I'm confident he'll be able to mold the group but we'll need guys to step up.
30 days...
