Best BG Football Memory!!
We need to get our spirits up!!
Mine was the Miami game where we recovered two on-side kicks and came back to win it at the end...don't remember the date or the score but man was that a sweeeeet comeback!!

For me it has to be the Motor City Bowl. To see BG have a great year topped off by a bowl game win was just incredible! From all the bad calls that game, to Magner's Migration, to Josh's wife on the TV every 4 seconds, and to a come back victory...it was just a great feeling watching the team reach a goal they had set out for. I couldn't have asked for a better way to end the season.
(Getting to march on the field in front of 50,000 people in a professional stadium was an amazing feeling too!)

"To the optimist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, the glass is half empty. To the project manager, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be."
Tough question.
High points would include:
Watching BG beat FSU in the cal bowl.
Watching BG celebrate winning the MAC from the top of DLP Stadium in 92.
The 2 point conversion play that put BGSU back on top to win the Vegas bowl.
Beating Toledo to set the all-time MAC consecutive win record in 1993.
The home game against Navy in 1996.
Riding in the front seat of the first of three fan bus' from the airport, to the hotel, and then to the game against Bama in 1996, with full police escort. (hence why BGSU now does the same to incoming visiting teams.)
The rush after beating Marshall in DLP Stadium in 1997(Or was it 1996.)
Beating UT under the lights in Blackney's second-to-last season. (the F-16s dropping under the cloud cover, lighting their after burners against the dark grey sky, mmmm very cool. That sound alone can get you geeked up.)
Sitting in the VIP alumni box for Urban's home opener.
Beating Temple at home under the lights.
At home, beating Mizzou and Pinkel.
BG's home game against UT under Urban.
BG's home win over UT under Brandon.
And presently top of my list: The entire week ESPN Gameday was in town.

I'd have to say - the entire 2003 season! Beating ranked Purdue on the road, almost topping Ohio State, having College Gameday come to BG, beating a ranked and undefeated NIU, having a couple sellout crowds at home, five nationally televised games on TV, playing in the MAC Championship game, and getting back to a bowl game and winning it. What a great year 2003 was for BG football!
GO BG!!!

I was going to get to that next, RWT.
California Bowl still goes down as the finest college football game I have every seen live or taped.
The last play (incomplete pass after a QB hurry) happened right in front of me.
I was doing happy dance on that painted moss (affectionately dubbed Chia-Turf) of Fresno's stadium. It didn't matter I was suffering from food poisoning. Curse you Jack in the Box!
Second would be gameday of last year with the MCB being a close third (wife wasn't with me to enjoy the moment, so that is why it's a little less than the NIU game.)

Nov 16, 1985 befroe 28,110 fans..BG 21 UT 0. The game clinched the conference title and broke McClure's hex against the bastages on Bancroft. The goalposts came down. I recall seeing an chunk pf them being carried up Wooster street towards downtown for a tour of the bars. A win at Peedin Stadium in Athens the following week completed the undefeated regular season.
And then Denny left and things got a little ugly.....

Best "first person" Falcon memories ....
1985 season
Beating Kentucky in Lexington. What an incredible comeback! Loved watching the SID slam the counter after the umpteenth holding penalty on the final drive. One of our reporters was in the stands talking with the UK faithful; they were ahead, of course, and they asked if BG was good in any sports. Our reporter proudly told them we had won the national championship in hockey, to which a fan replied "Who gives a frog's fat ass about hockey? Aren't you good at any real sports?" McClure answered that question for them. We celebrated with huge steaks at a place called The Post (if memory serves), where the size of the steak was determined by ordering Win, Place or Show (no horsemeat jokes, please!).
The Rick Neiman game in 1985 against Miami. Unbelievable.
John Offerdahl being credited with tackles on consecutive plays in K-zoo while he was on the bench. In the same game, Bernard White doing a breakdance after scoring a TD. "Next time," he said. "I may jump over the goal post."
2003 season
As much as I enjoyed the 1985 season, there's no way it can compare to the fun I had in 2003 and that's because I was able to share it with my son. We had so much fun on our two road trips - Kent State and the MCB. Nothing will ever compare, no way.
2004 season
Too soon? I think not, not if you were in the stands at The Linc for the 70-16 track meet. Two favorite Noah-centric moments - asking him what he thought of the game in third quarter and him responding "this is the greatest football game I've ever seen"; Deaudre Perry taking the time to shake his hand and talk to him after the game.
I'm so stoked for our trip the WMU game, even if we are staying in P-burg.

1987, So you did get a romm in P-burg? I think they all looked ok, except for the Days Inn. It still has the outside entries.
My best memory would also be the Motor City Bowl last year. Just all the excitement and festivity that went along with it make it special. And for the same reasons, the NIU game last year with GameDay on campus.
The UT game in 1985 was a big one too. That was my freshman year. Went to the game with my brother and his roomates. His roommates took off early in the second half when their flask was empty. But my brother and I stayed to the end.

Beating Toledo in 2001. We were literally dancing in our seats.
Watching BG beat Miami in 1991 to clinch the MAC.
Beating Mizzou 51-28.
Rushing onto the field after beating Marshall in 1998. That win snapped their winning streak... not sure if it was MAC games or just games.
Watching BG beat Toledo in 2003. Best play: Josh's diving TD.
I didn't see the game, but I remember watching the ticker for about 15 straight minutes at the bottom of ESPNews when BG beat Northwestern in 2001. I kept waiting for the next update to roll around.
Watching the NIU game from 2003 on TV. I was unable to be at the game, but was able to watch the game with about 25 other BG guys at Damon's in Cbus.
