Ben Roethlisberger is doubtful for this weeks preseason. Does this mean even more playing time for Omar?

In a word, yes.
If Ben feels good tomorrow, he'll play Sunday. If he doesn't he won't. I doubt batch will get more than a quarter and Ben was probably going to play only 2 series anyway, so it doesn't affect Omar a ton. Every little bit helps though.
If Boyd gets the bulk of snaps over Omar Sunday, that would be a very bad sign. I don't think that will happen though. Expect Boyd's and Omar's roles from the initial game to be reversed.

Charlie Batch will start the game if Roethlisberger doesn't, or he will follow him if he does, but Roethlisberger's status won't affect the amount of time Batch plays. "Charlie is playing well," said Cowher. "We'll give him enough work to keep him sharp, nothing more."
After Batch will come Omar Jacobs and then Shane Boyd. "I won't say one is No. 3 and the other is No. 4," said Cowher. "They'll both play, and we'll go from there. We'll probably put Omar in first after Charlie Batch, because we put Shane in there first last week."
This from an article on the Steeler's Web site today. Omar to play in 3rd before Boyd.

I thought Omar looked pretty decent after that first series against Arizona. I'm sure he can build on that and keep improving.

Here is a video of Big Ben's story. I only posted it here because you get to see a few shots of Omar. You don't get to see him in action, but he still has the dreds.
Go Falcons!
