Corey was on crutches today at practice. From what I heard, he went down in the scrimmage they had at practice yesterday. This is not good news at all. I wish for Corey to have a speedy recovery.

Yeah, that doesn't sound good. Hopefully we can get an update on that sometime soon.

You've got to be kidding me!!!! This could be a HUGE loss....not only at WR but as a punt return man. SH*T.

If true, I wish Corey a very speedy recovery!

I think it would be the biggest lost we could have on our team. Maybe others would aruge Lichtensteiger or Parks, but I think Cory should be by far our best WR and also a great kick returner! I dont want to read too much into this, but it could be a bad sign that Spart isnt on here yet... we'll find out soon hopefully!

Man I hope he's okay and that he didn't tear up his knee or anything like that.....we're all crossing our fingers for the best. It's getting so close to the start of the season and we need everyone who's back to be back with all the losses we had from last year.

I would say Corey is basically our most valuable player this year and its a shame he is injured. I do not know how long he will be out, but I do know that our team was dependin on him to be a playmaker...I hope everything works out fine with him......Spart, I hope Corey recovers very soon...

It happened Friday at practice. I guess he was blocking for a running play and they went right up his back. They think its a partial tear of the MCL. The MRI is Monday. If only partial we are looking at 6-8 weeks before he could return.

This is actually his third major injury in less than a year. Talk about snake bit. Two out of the three have happened in practice. He was having a great summer camp.

I was at Marietta this weekend watching my youngest in a scrimmage. He is a freshman wide receiver for them.

Corey has worked very hard this summer and was really ready to show what he can do. Now, I have thought a lot about maybe he should hang it up. It doesn't seem to be working out for him. I must admit that I have thought a few times that the coach has jinxed him by all the talk about him staying healthy. Its not like he gets hurt on purpose. I still can't believe he played as much as he did last year with the injuries he had. I will support Corey in any decision he will make about his playing future.

Does anyone know about what it takes to get a medical redshirt. If it will take 8 weeks maybe he should stay away all year. I know it can be hard to get that medical redshirt and a 6th year unless you are from Oklahoma and have a chance at the heisman. Or did they change that rule so you only really have 5 years to complete 4. Corey will be doing some soul searching in the next couple of weeks. This has broken his heart as well as mine.

Wow this is such sad news! I hope everything works out and that it is only a partial tear. I'm pretty sure he can get that extra redshirt year, like Jason White did at OU and also Ryan Cubit at WMU got one last year. I wish him all the best and we hope to see him back playing football for BG really soon!

Thanks for the update, sir.

Soul searching is never a bad thing at any stage of the game. Whatever his decision will be the best decision for him. He's a smart kid with a solid core*. People like that always seem to land on their feet.

I wish him all the best and also support him in his endeavors. After all, he is a Falcon.
