Come on UCF!

I hate UCF as much as the next MAC fan, but I'm rooting for them against NIU. They were down 21-0 at the half after NIU had a 70-yard INT return for a TD in the final minute, but have since cut into the lead to 27-14 with 10 minutes to go in Orlando. I'd love to see a miracle comeback to get us back in this Divisional race.

Wow. When this one was 14-0 before the scoreboard lights got warm, I thought it was going to be ugly.
Of course, if UCF holds on, it just means we have to root harder for Toledo for at least one game... ::puke::
Oh well, I guess I can do that, at least we get the spRockets on the field still!!!

Northern still controls their own destiny, but this would really help us out. Hang on UCF!!!!!

so they got down to the 28!?!? What kind of prevent defense are the Knights in!?!? And when did Marty Schottenheimer become their coach?

Congrats to NIU. It just seems like it is going to be their year. I don't like to give UCF credit, but we have to give them their due for fighting back against a really good team when they came in 0-4. That was probably our last real chance outside of Toledo for an NIU loss, so if NIU can get past WMU in 2 weeks, I'll root for them over UT.

ESPN.com lists it as a 39-yard FG, so if that is correct, they actually got it to the 22.
A true freshman kicker that was only 6-10 last year in high school according to Phil Steele's magazine. You have to be kidding me.

That's crap. I'll give UCF credit for fighting back, but they can take their rolling over prevent defense crap and pack their crappy little bags for CUSA tonight. Don't bother finishing the rest of the season unless Memphis has an open date.
They came into this conference uncompetitive, ran their mouths like they were going to never lose a MAC game, and they're now 0-5 and putting up eggs like this.
Good F-in Riddance!
(In a less heated, yet no less disappointed note, NIU deserves all the credit in the world for stepping up and stomping us, then after watching their season teeter on the brink of going back to "square one" put together the drive they needed in less than a minute and got the job done.)

looking at gametracker, I think they ran a play after they got it to the 28, picked up 5 or 6 yards, called timeout and kicked it. Ridiculous.

and looking at the UT-WMU game, it looks like UT is the only hope, outside of something out of the ordinary happening to NIU...
59-26 Rockets midway through the third. Ugh.
