Four votes this week, NIU has 5 as the MAC's only other representative.

We may not control our own destiny for the MACC and the bowl tie-ins that go with it, but if we keep posting impressive wins, especially when Marshall and UT come knockin', I believe this is a sign we could be in great position for an at-large bid, if Rick Chryst can spin some magic. An outside shot, I know, but if he laid some good groundwork after it was too late for NIU last year, maybe something could happen if we're left out of the MACC.

I'm really surprised by that.

If we win the string, its possible we could find ourselves in the Top 25 by season's end.

Southern Mississippi is in right now with 88 points.

I think BG's recent track record is a plus for a possible at-large bid to a bowl, but the MAC falling on its face in non-conference games this year certainly won't help. We just need to keep winning and putting people in the seats for our home games and see where the chips may fall.

Nice! Getting votes with a 3-2 record to boot!

Let's take them one game at a time and see what happens. With NIU's extremely close call yesterday at UCF, I'm not about to crown them West Champs yet. There is a ton of football to be played and BG still has a legit shot at repeating.

Probably Brandon just voting us at 21st.

The good thing about that though is that teams that have votes tend to get more votes if they win. It is always the hardest to get the first couple votes. If we win out, get lucky enough for a bowl game, and win that...we have an outside change of being ranked. Wouldn't that be sweet?
