Any idea how tickets are moving for Homecoming?

Post by BGSU33 »

I was wondering if anyone knew how tickets were moving for the Ball State game? Being that it's just our second home game this season in the middle of October - that's just crazy!!! - I was wondering if anyone knew how ticket sales were going?

Not sure about ticket sales, I think I will be picking mine up on Tuesday so I will ask then. But the weather forecast is improving! 8)

I'm not real sure how ticket sales are going. Hopefully, well. I ordered 14 tickets for the BSU game. I tried to do my part for the game by inviting my family and my wife's family.

I saw Central put 17000+ in the seats for our game. That will help them a little to get to the NCAA required 15,000.

Hopefully, I'll get to meet a few people this Saturday that post here.

I"m not sure how tickets sales are doing, but I do know that my recently graudated (May 04) brother from BG (following in his big brothers footsteps) received 2 free tickets from the alumni association to go to the game. What I want to know is where the Heck are my tickets at???? Anyway, my bro and a bunch of his friends (also bg Grad's are going to the game on Saturday)

I've ordered six tickets and will be coming back to Ohio for the game this weekend. My fiancee and four members of my family are going with us. The tickets were my treat! :)

I think we're going to have a HUGE crowd. They have indeed sold 50, yes 50 tents for the tailgate park. That's 18 more than they sold for the NIU game last year and abouut 47 more than they sold for the Kent game...

Got mine today!

Post by Harry Hood »

I bought my tickets late this afternoon.
16 tixs in section 11 row 43 + 44 (broke it up 8 and 8 ).

Scott the ticket guy said tickets are moving well, but didn't seem overly excited. He is hoping for sunny weather and lots of walk up sales.

It was very nice to see the new computerized ticketing. No longer do they sort through the pile of unsold tickets to find you seats. They put in the number and the computer helps locate the best available.
They have added a $3 per transaction charge (much better than ticketmaster).

Finally, remember to take advantage of the Pepsi ticket promotion. You can get 4 bench reserved for $28 if you have a specially marked can. I found a bunch of cans at the Speedway as you come in to town.

It has always been my experience that Scot the ticket guy and the other staff there don't get overly excited no matter how many tickets you/others buy, but that is somewhat beside the point.

I'm glad someone other than me brought this point up about that guy. So since it was mentioned, I must say, I am stunned that someone in that position can be so....how shall I phrase this ....... unpleasant at times! I always thought he was just like that when I was a student and having to deal with student pick-ups. Years later, things haven't seemed to change. Selling tickets is a huge part of what makes things go around in the athletics business. The least we can have is someone who at least tries to be pleasant to people. The guy seems so put off by any questions you may have about tickets or ticket purchases. Talking with the guy sometimes almost makes me feel like don't feel like even want to buy tickets anymore. I was very surprised to know we had people working in a position such as that with that kind of attitude.

Newsflash: If a person buying tickets already knew the answer to the questions they ask, they wouldn't have to ask them in the first place. Not everyone who buys tickets knows the answer to every ticketing question.

I will say the students or assistants I've dealt with there have always been pleasant to deal with in my experiences. I know we all may not be the most chipper of people, but an impression can go a long way, especially if it's a first one.

I didn't have a bad experience this year when I placed my order for road tickets, but in prior years, Scot or one of the student workers would look at me like I had a third eye when they saw my order form for 3 tickets to Kansas, 4 to NIU, 4 to South Florida, etc. Basketball was the same way. I always thought that they should be thrilled that fans are hitting the road to watch the Falcons, but that's not the impression I got over the past several years when I placed an order.

I had a problem with my season tickets and Scot was very energetic and helpful in getting it resolved.
