.....I've always wondered, and maybe you've answered this in another post, why are you going to UT if you like BG so much? Have you ever thought about transfering to BG? Just wondring because just judging by the posts on the board, you seem much more cut out to be a Falcon than a Rocket? What gives?

I believe his reasoning is engineering. UT has a very good engineering school & BG doesn't even offer it.

I can guarantee he's not the only person that would like to go to BG but is instead at UT because of engineering.

Hammb would be correct.

ut has a very good engineering program and BG has none. If BG got engineering, I would transfer like woah. A friend of mine that also went to BGHS, went to Owens for 2 years, and is now in the Civil Eng. program at ut with me is also a BG native/fan. Our ranks inside ut are growing, and soon we will overthrow the tyrany....

Yes UT has an engineering school, but I don't know if I would classify at as 'good'. It certainly is decent for the area and are decent in certain types of engineering. It is the only engineering school in NW ohio, so there are not many other options. If BG had a law school and engineering college, they of course would be better than UT's. I wonder why BG does not offer a law school, I think it would turn out to a be very good. Anyways, Im off topic, back to football!

actually, as much as I dislike my school, they have an excellent reputation in the industry for engineering, pharmacy, and Law. Obviously there are many midwestern schools that are better but I cant afford to go out of state. But as far as instate goes, they were my first choice after UC (of which my mother would have nothing to do with unfortunatly) But then i would be quite far from my falcons year round rather than just this semester.

...They keep their facilities extreamly up to date here and the actually engineering staff is ecxellent. (the gen ed math/science leaves something to be desired though...) As far as the school goes im very happy with it. as far as teh atmosphere and the people, well, they are lucky I am not allowed to carry a big stick and deal out justice as I see fit, like I would like to do.

The Ohio Board of Regents will not approve BGSU to offer degrees for law, engineering, or pharmacy.

IMO - in the next few years it would not surprise me to see OBOR review degree programs at all state instutitons and look at similar degree programs offered in each region and consider consolidating some programs. I know they did this a few years back with certain graduate programs.

I also think you will begin to see some more collaborative projects involving BGSU and UT, in addition to some of the programs we are doing through the University Partnership program at Lorain County Community College.

HOWEVER, I do not see OBOR mandating that we consolidate Falcon and Rockette football (had to get this back onto a football thread).

My boxers are fine, thank you very much. Vote for Kerry, Bush, Nader, the Liberterian party candidate, whoever, I don't care. I do care when people try to lump a demographic together and then publicize that to try to influence how people vote. "Falcons for Kerry", "Swift Boat Vets for Bush" (albeit a small group), "Catholics against Kerry", etc. People are individuals who fall into many different demographics. Respect their ability to choose on their own, not "guilt" them into voting for one candidate or another because "all the other Falcon fans are voting for so and so, therefore you must also if you are a real Falcon fan". :axe: ::puke::

To be perfectly honest, I don't think that someone in BGSU admission office should be going public with his vote or politics. After all he is trying to recruit students from all parties etc to this campus. This would be the same reasoning that you see very few small businesses take a public stance with signs etc.

I don't think I have gone public with my choice for President yet. I've tried to play Devil's Advocate when I see political posts.

That is a pretty cool Falcons for Kerry Edwards logo t-shirt. Where I can I get one of those?
