Go Bears, go P.J.! (to all the Browns fans, relax, I'm not a Browns hater, they are my second favorite team to the Bears). :) Glad to see him score.

P.J. has looked good. As a Brown's fan I feel guilty rooting for Chicago but it is only preseason.

I can't get the Steelers game here, hope Omar is having a good night as well.

P.J. deserves a roster spot somewhere.

Pope survived today's roster cuts, which brought the team to 64 players.

When scanning the play-by-play last night, PJ also had two tackles on punt coverage!!

Yeah and one of them was a bruiser, too. The Cleveland announcers kind of said "wow" and talked about how the team would struggle on punt returns or something, but they didn't give PJ credit for the tackle.

Might have to dust off my Pope jersey if I make it to a Bears game

While it might be astonishing to some, it should be noted that Cleveland's run defense has also been VERY stout this preseason. Pope is actually the only back to have any real success against them on the ground so far, so it's not as though he ran through a swiss cheese defense :)

Bleeding, I'm with you. I was getting upset that our preseason announcers weren't giving any love to Pope. He's an Ohio kid that went to an Ohio university. Give him some props for his efforts, I saw him reading well and making something out of nothing most of the time.

Yeah, I saw Dion Byrum was among those players cut by the Bears. If P.J. does survive the next eleven cuts, I see a #36 Bear's jersey in my near future.

While we're taking such stock in preseason games... how'd them Steelers do this year?

Granted, when the reg. season rolls around I expect the Squealers to be back among the 10+ win teams and the Browns praying for .500... but that's not really the point.

Cleveland fan rooting for Chicago---

Ok, looking over both shoulders, I grew up a Steelers fan in Fulton county. All I'm gonna say is that my step-father was a Browns and Buckeye fan so I rooted for Michigan and the Steelers. (Yeah, we got along real well!)

It was only when I moved to Cleveland that I realized that for my own safety I should root for Cleveland. None of my friends are under 6'2" and they will roll you if you root or the wrong team.

They know I'm a football fan in this order:

BGSU
Other MAC Schools
Other mid-majors
Browns
Any other pro team that has a MAC player on it
