Disappointing MAC performance...AGAIN!

Let's just hope BG has far superior performance than Akron and NI...These clowns look like Div IAA. It's really hard to watch how open these guys are and the missed tackles; not to mention the over-pursuits. DARN!

They looks worse than D-1AA. At least those teams keep it close early on!

What's worse is that AKRON is supposed to represent the MAC, since they won the MAC Championship last season. No wonder we get dogged on so much. Could it be coaching?

Ohio St. will make many teams look bad this year.

And people dogged Miami about their game against OSU last year... at least that game was a semi-respectible 34-14.

You know its bad when we are considering 20pt losses as semi-respectable when 2-3 years ago, we were considering 20pt losses as pathetic.

Here, here.
I think Miami shoulda killed Northwestern. But it didn't happen. Too young, and inexperienced. But after Purdue's showing against ISU, I think Miami even stands a chance against them!
Our hopes are pinned on you BEEEGEEEEE!
Falcon UP!

well I got a problem, I can't see anything on TV over here in germany
But in sportline-gamecenter it looks like Wolfe got a bunch of good
runs ....... when he runs against other defenses, NIU will look much
better. I saw him in last years game at Foledo and he made them
look like fools ....

I dont think the matchups work well in our favor. It would be better to have teams like NIU and Akron playing Northwestern or Purdue teams they would have a good chance to beat. The running back Wolfe looks very solid in the open field.
Any MAC team would probably have the same fate against OSU.
Michigan and Michigan St looked very sluggish today, I think that Michigan State is close to moving down to a third tier Big Ten team.

Miami wont stand a chance of beating Purdue. My best friend went to the game and said PU was up 26-7 after 1st Q, and then our best player Saftey Torri Williams hurt is knee in a really gross way and sucked all the life out of the team and crowd. I guess ISU took advantage and got it as close as 33-28, but Purdue won easily 60-35. Miami is gonna have to score a bunch if they want a chance, and I dont see that happening!

So why was I supposed to be worried about NIU again?? Because they didnt show me anything except for a lot of non called holdings. they run those sweeps and screens to wolfe and they hold A LOT.
Thats about all I saw.
P.S. OSU covered the spread which makes 98% of you wrong about that game.

hey you have got to give props to NIU and wolfe. He racked them up on OSU. Sure NIU lost, but we now know a lot about NIU and wolfe is the real deal with out question that guy can run,a nd could easily be a feature back inthe NFL with 30 carries a game.
They played all 4 quarters and while they lost, they lost well to OSU.
I have not watched the Akron game yet, but i bet they played all four quarters too. In the face of adversity you can learn about your teams and if they are driven.
I dont imagine NIU, BGSU, Ut or Miami will be collecting workmens comp from the hoolers union for being on thier backs, they all went down fighting, and just ended up losing to the better teams this weekend, that football, anything can happen (unless you plan for failure like with BGSU's given away the game punt formation). Love this game.

Wolfe will never be a feature back in he NFL. he will be one of those good players in college who will bust in the NFL. He wont be a first day draft pick because of his side. He won't be able to run around the outside in the NFL like he can against MAC opponents.
Really NIU has about two plays that they run very well. They have a play action screen that OSU bit on a few times and those two plays is where Wolfe got the majority of his yards he got about 60 on one and 50 or so on the other. That was half of his yards. The rest of the game he got a lot of 2 or 3 yard carries, occasionally a 5-7 yard carry. He didnt show me anything spectacular other than those two plays. But like I said there were some missed holding calls all game. Probably both ways but I mostly paid attention to the NIU holding. If they keep getting away with it then Wolfe will keep racking up yards. There was a huge block in the back by a WR on Wolfe screen that went for about 60
If BG plays NIU you will see what I am talking about.

They watched OSU hold on every play and realized they could get away with it too. Yeah, and that Wolfe guy was way overrated!

Funny how none of the officials in any game we play, including yesterday on national tv, call holding when some BG fans can obviouly see it. You must have wonder vision eyes but the real answer is that they don't know what holding is.
