New School Record

Post by Strouse »

I was glancing through the stats of the BG-Wisky game, and did anyone else notice that Barnes led the game with most rushing yards? 150 yards, I do believe, and that set a new school record for most rushing yards for a quarterback.

Are you sure Harris never ran for more than that? I thought he ran for more against OU few years back.

In the post game show on the radio, they did mention that Barnes rushing yards was a new record for a QB.

That shouldn't count because football wise, they shouldn't be a D-1 school! i think most years, Mt.Union could whip them!

For those that don't believe, I got my information from espn.com. I'd post the link, but I'm a little too lazy right now to do that.

It's in the recap and notes on the official Univ. site, too. Barnes ran for 158, Harris had the record with 148 vs. OU in 2001.

Thanks TG, I was a little curious about Harris' record as well. espn.com has Barnes listed as running 150 yards in the stats column, but if you read through the article about the game it has him running 158 yards, so thanks for that clarification as well!!
