Weather for BG/BSU looking better

Gameday is still five days away, but the forecast is looking better than it did five days ago. It's looking like partly cloudy skies with a high of 52 and a low of 27 with a 20 percent chance of rain as of Monday afternoon. It's looking like rain on Thursday and Friday, so hopefully this system gets in and out of here and clears up for Saturday. If the weather backs up, it might fall back to Saturday. So let it rain midweek!

Well, so much for predicting or forecasting the weather. In a matter of hours, it's now changed back to showers on Saturday. The rains is supposed to start Thursday and continue the next several days. Figures. Hasn't the weather been pretty much sunny and dry in BG the last several weeks for the most part? Oh well, hopefully it will change again before Saturday. I'm coming too on Saturday rain or shine. I just know not everyone follows that pattern at BG, so I always hope for better weather days.

Let's hope the wind and showers are early.

Short of lighting cancelling the game, nothing would keep me away from the Doyt!

Rain, rain go away!

I'm coming rain or shine like most of you, but I'm afraid the weather is going to keep some people at home. I hope I'm wrong. The chance of rain is now up to 40 percent with wind gusts factored in. Ten days ago this damn weather report said 40 percent chance of rain in the low 50s for a high, and for once, it looks like it will actually be accurate. Sunday is supposed to be partly cloudy and 10 percent. Figures.

I know there's not a thing anyone can do about the weather, but it's just frustrating that for the past few weeks while we've been on the road game after game, there's been beautiful day after beautiful day, and now that were finally coming home, it's raining. Watch, next week when we're on the road again, it'll be nice again just in time to rain for the next few weekends when we are at home. I hated having all of those road games stacked up early on. Yeah, I know it leaves more in the back end, but it's nice to have a couple games at home by mid-season.

I'm just hoping if it does rain that it comes early and moves up by afternoon since it'ss supposed to be nice on Sunday.

Another nuance of schedule-making ... it always helps to have home games early in the season. Like it or not, weather will keep folks away from this game if the predictions are accurate (or even close). That's just the way it is. I'd wager many alumni plan on going to the game since it's Homecoming, but will opt for more inside activities ...

rather than sit in the cold & drizzle & wind. Just my opinion, of course, and I hope that I'm proven wrong.

Yeah, I'm crossing my fingers that we all can at least stay dry on Saturday. I know it's going to be cool, cloudy and windy, but dry would be nice. The fact of the matter is, at a lot of MAC schools and other smaller I-A programs, weather has a huge impact on attendance. It just does and BG is no different. If the forecast was for sunshine and no rain and mid 60s, I think we'd get a great crowd. If we have over 20,000 for Ball State factoring in the current weather forecast, I'll be happy.

Looks like they changed it back to 30% and "few showers"

I guess we just bring warm clothes, after all, it's BG.

Hopefully that system is speeding up and will be out of here by Saturday afternoon.

I was hoping it would hurry up and start today and be mostly gone before Saturday, but we've had nothing so far. Most of the day was really nice. It was fairly warm and a few clouds. Perfect weather if it were Saturday. I really hope we luck out.

Friday AM and its raining right now in BG.

Forecast from Yahoo! Not too bad.

Tomorrow: Overcast with rain showers at times. High 49F. Winds WSW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

The WTOL hour by hour forecast says it should be clear during the game, with temps @ 47 at game time.

Bundle up! Let's play football!

Yeah, the chance of rain has increased to 50 percent now. It really looks like it's going to be hit or miss. We know it's going to be cloudy, windy and cool. I just hope it doesn't rain.

Looks like they're saying it will almost definitely be raining at 6am and that it may start to break up as the day goes on. I hope so. I'm marching with the alumni band, rain or no rain, but would obviously prefer no rain
