On the cusp of a great recruiting season?

I was just thinking about PJ Pope, Charles Sharon and Omar Jacobs. All on NFL Teams. All from last years teams. What a great recruiting tool that must be. Who else that we compete with can say last years QB, RB and WR are all playing in the NFL. Don't want to wait to play, OK we started 5 true freshman last year and 7 freshman total. You earn it and you will play fromt he first snap on campus. You like to score a ton? Well our Kicker holds the all time record in PATS in the NCAA. You cant kick a PAT unless you score a TD. We played in Cleveland Brown stadium this year and the Shoe.
I swear I heard about a ton more verbals at this time last year. I remember trying to follow Sheehan and pronty and Brighton and Darius Smith and Corner through there senior years. We currently have one wideout recruit on board. What is going on? Have other MAC schools named more people?

No MAC schools have named any of their recruits. Schools cannot comment on any recruit, until they sign a letter of intent. The kids, parents and coaches will sometimes announce their plans to the media and sometimes you'll have someone with a source in a given athletic department talk about verbal commits on sites like this one, but that's about it.
They may comment on numbers (e.g. "we already have 10 kids committed...") but you won't hear anything form the schools until February (or January for JC and early HS grads)

Are they making NFL money on NFL practice squads? Did all 3 not get significant preseason time with quality performances? Doesn't sound too lame to me, sounds like the NFL and sounds like a good recruiting tool.

Again, what did this have to do with Ohio State?
A man is as good as his word, and quite frankly your word sucks.

Teke, I know you don't hate BGSU athletics this much. What's the deal with every post being so negative?

It probably doesn't hurt, yet I'm not sure how much it really helps that all 3 have made at least the practice squad in the NFL. They were Urban Meyer's recruits.
A lot of MAC schools can point out specific examples why their school should be getting recruits.
Akron with Frye, Toledo with Kazur (sp?), etc... Bowl games, faciilites.
The playing time can help and hurt in a way. You play right away, but what does that say to the next year or 2 incoming recruits? They will more than likely have to wait a few years.
