great game, reminded me of our last second win over Northwestern. Great call not to kick the field goal.

28 points scored in the last 10 mintues of the game?!?! Does it get any better? ESPN was ripping on Brookhart for going for the TD. Shoot, I love the call. Confidence in the kicker be damned. On the one foot line after that drive you gotta let the offense finish what it started.

Unless the kicker can earn you a win, you go for it from 2 feet away.
Akron is going to be tough this year...

told ya Amato sucked...it sucks now because he will be gone at the end of the season (watch them lost to unc...AGAIN) and then Cowher will move in and make them good.

Well Amato will probably be gone, but not after they beat Florida State again. They beat the Seminoles every frickin year.

Troy almost beat FSU yesterday...man the ACC sucks this year. No one has been impressive the first two weeks of the season (and beating a team that finished 2-9 in the A-10 last season 38-0, and then killing a team that lost to Rutgers is not impressive).

Methinks that this isn't your father's Rutgers. That team is solid.

Miami, FSU, GT, VT are all really good teams. Maybe not as good as last year but still all really good teams. I dont think NCST should fire Amato, I think he is a good coach. And what did I tell ya about taking Wyoming and points at UVA! They dang near won it outright! And yes, Rutgers is a lidgit top 40 football team if not better!

Miami is coached by Larry Coker. Although he he class and actually punishes his players for big games (something you will never see Beamer, Bowden, or even Tressel do), he doesn't win as many games as he should.
FSU nearly lost to Troy...I thought FSU and Miami's offenses just looked bad because they were playing against great defenses...well their offenses just suck. Not to mention they are coached by Jeff Bowden.
GT's quarterback is Reggie Ball
VT has a great defense and their special teams looks solid, but their offense is a huge question mark. Their first two TD's against UNc were on drives of 2 and one yards. I didn't see the second half so I can't comment on that.
Rutgers is a joke. Yea they are better than the past decade, but they still are not a good team. Sure they will make a bowl, but it isn't hard to be bowl eligible in the Big East.
NC State should definately fire Amato. Why do you think he should stay? HE beats FSU, but can't beat unc (trust me, NC State would rather beat unc than fsu). He did nothing there. Phillip Rivers led them to a fourth place finish for a few years, and they got 10 wins those years (by playing New Mexico, ETSU and UMASS). He even struggles against Duke. He can recruit but he can't coach (kinda like Groh at UVA, but at least Groh has been to 4 straight bowls). After Rivers left, NC State whent 5-6, and then last year they went 6-5 and made it to a bowl, thanks to having MTSU and Eastern Kentucky on the schedule. I haven't checked their boards, but I don't believe they are too happy with that loss to Akron either.
