game ball to: Todd Walker

Post by Schadenfreude »

That poor sumbich called a five hour, 20 minute game. And... he and the rest of the team did a great job all the way through.

I'm sure he's thanking his lucky stars it was Hall of Fame night. That's why he was able to bring in Brian Leaver, who was being honored that night. He brought in Josh Harris from BCSN. He even brought in the director of admissions and asked him whether he thought athletics was a positive force at BGSU.

(It isn't just my skin Smurk is getting under, apparently).

Todd Walker has always done a good job, but he outdid himself killing time during those ridiculous delays. Very little dead air that I heard. It all kept moving as best as you could keep it moving.

You may disagree Todd, but I think that was a resume tape, right there, Everything went wrong, and you were still a true professional.

Even better: Through all of it, AM 1230 here in Columbus never cut way -- not even for the post game. It joined the Reds in progress.

That was sweet.

I must say the whole production is very professional. It is a lot better than it was just a few years ago. I think Todd Walker has really improved and the guy with him really adds to the broadcast. The Frickers sideline reports every second may be a little too much but overall really no complaints. It was great listening to all of the interviews. I really love that we were picked up in Columbus! Keep up the great work guys.

You rock, Todd. Honestly. And thanks.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
