I thought you guys were counting the Wisconsin game as a home game for attendance? Your stats say you aren't averaging 22,500, it says 14,227. I don't see how BG is going to get over 15,000 this year with teams like KSU and EMU and Miami left at home.

Yeah, we didn't get much more either, but we did play a I-AA team during move-in weekend. I was wondering why your stats say differently because right now they aren't counting the game in Cleveland. We've already pulled in over 15,000 and with our win today, we'll easily clear it again this season. We easily did last year too when we only went 4-7.

The NCAA will.

Where the hell do you see 'Average Attendance' in the stats? Never have I seen 'Average Attendance' listed in the stats. The Actual Attendance for each particular game is listed in the stats.

So if you are calculating at home (especially in Athens) here is how it works:
Wisconsin : 30,000
Buffalo : 15,000
Total : 45,000
Average (Total divided by number of games): 22,500

It says so right here in your own stats, the link is below. On your overall team stats, it has 30,307 for opponents at a neutral site and 14,277 for BGSU home average attedance. It's not broken down like you have to get 22,500 at all. I'm not making this stuff up, look for yourself. I don't know how you expect the NCAA to count it as a BG home attedance figure if BG isn't counting it themselves as a home figure. http://bgsufalcons.cstv.com/sports/m-fo ... mcume.html

Say what you want, but that's not what your own official stats say. I'm not cutting on you, I was just wondering why it was this way because I thought it was what you all are saying too. One of you should mention it to your athletic department or something then.

I don't really think the weather was a factor. Anyone that was going to the game had their mind made up by 2:30 at the latest and up until that point the weather was pretty decent.

It's really not BG's responsiblity to dictate what gets counted towards home attendance. They are separating the line item. I don't see the big deal.

The NCAA IS counting [read: IS counting] the Wisconsin game attendance into the season home attendance. I know of no way to make that a clearer statement.

Curious that this sticks in your dome as it does.

Just to let you know (not that this matters), but the attendence number is actually 2 higher than what it shoudl be. My roommate and I, both of whom this was our first game attending as a student and non-marching band members, came in twice because we didn't know where everything was. But we stayed for the whole 5.5 hour game...so that should balance it out!

I was impressed with the number of people who stayed given the 2 rain delays, 3 overtimes, Black Swamp Arts Festival, and the OSU vs. Texas game. For myself, it was hard to stay because I had gotten wet in the rain and was freezing after the cold front passed through (maybe I should have worn jeans instead of shorts...thank goodness for my orange knee socks though!). All things considered, I'll take the attendance.
GO FALCONS!!
