Now that I'm over my rage from yesterday, here are some things to be positive about regarding this team.


There is serious potential on this young roster. I especially like the defensive personnel compared to last year. If the young guys can learn to consistently tackle, this is a top flight MAC defense.

We are fifth in the country in rushing yards. The potential for a potent rushing offense is there, the coaches just need to use it. I would have to think that Brandon and Stud can do better. It just remains to be seen if they will or not.

The team didn't give up yesterday. Somebody had to be taking a leadership role on the field for that to happen. It sounds like it was the defense, namely Brad Williams and Devon Parks. The defense is going to have to step up this year, and I think by the time we get to the meat of the schedule, they may be ready to do just that.


Seriously, it's not like this team *can't* win the MAC. We have the talent and I think the schemes are there. Maybe Brandon will now be forced to pay attention to ST, even though he should have by now. I'm not optimistic about special teams, but anything's possible.

Diversify the rushing offense, let Turner take some shots down the field, keep the defense improving, and I think this is a MAC championship team -- if for no other reason than the MAC is very mediocre.

I will say this -- if we continue with a 2-QB system, we have no shot to win the MAC. None. It just doesn't work. I would maybe give Freddie 1 series a game to run the "offense". The rest should be Turner.

AT put up big numbers yesterday. I think they should go with AT after thinking about it for a day...but make sure Freddie is on the field somewhere!!!!

We are extremely young...but there is a ton of talent there. Just keep working hard and get the damn ST issues fixed....NOW>

shore up the kicking game and we are ok....easier said than done. I would much rather try to fix a special teams area than fix an inept offense. Wait until Partridge comes back. Remember we lost Pope, Sharon, Lane, and Sanders and Jacobs!!

If we had an even mediocre ST we would have won that game in regulation 27-13, i think that the young players on defense are getting better everyday and i think turner is gonna be just fine as QB, to be honest i would love to have freddie lining up in the slot and use him that way to go along with partridge and ruiz. Ruiz came up with some big catches yesterday and i think we can look to him in pressure situations along with CP because theyve been around for awhile. This team WILL beat toledo this year at the galss bowl, mark my words after seeing how we had sucha disaster in ST and seeing UT getting their blue butts handed to them by the kalmazoos.

This team can win the MAC!
